Hello my darling dancers! πŸ‘‹

It's your favourite tutu-tastic traveller Emma here, and guess what? I'm on the move again! I just love the freedom of travelling, especially when I get to experience the magic of a new city while twirling in a fabulously fluffy tutu.

This time, my trusty companion (you know, the one I love to take on all my adventures), my Pink Panther suitcase, has been filled with a few key essentials:

  • My signature pink tutu (it's just divine, especially in the afternoon sunshine!).
  • A bejewelled hairband that screams "dancing queen!"
  • My favourite ballet shoes – always perfectly worn in and ready for a grand jetΓ©.
  • My little notebook, to jot down all my adventures (because you know, this wouldn't be a blog if I didn't document every magical moment, right?)
  • And last but not least, a healthy dose of enthusiasm - you wouldn't believe how excited I am to discover everything this city has to offer!

So, how did I get here? Oh, you know, just a quick train ride. It's the perfect way to travel – sit back, enjoy the scenery, and watch the world go by (in your finest tutu, of course!). And let's not forget, the delicious snacks available at the station! Who could say no to a cuppa and a scone? πŸ§β˜•

Now, you might be wondering, why Tottenham? Well, my lovely readers, I'm not here for the football! This week I'm here to check out some truly exceptional dance. You see, a friend from the Derbyshire Dance Academy sent me a message about the wonderful Northern Ballet. They've been putting on such captivating productions, and the chance to see them live, in person? You just can't say no!

My journey so far has been an absolute whirlwind of wonder. I strolled through the bustling markets, mesmerised by the vibrancy and energy of the place. The people are so warm and welcoming! They were positively thrilled by my flamboyant, European-style tutu (a vintage find from a Parisian flea market – just one of the countless reasons I love traveling!) They even had the decency to appreciate its vibrant shade of pink, something every self-respecting ballerina can relate to.

Today's highlight? Watching a group of children, their eyes sparkling with awe and excitement, trying out their own ballet moves outside the theatre! And their enthusiasm – infectious! Just wait until you see me next week with my whole London Dance group – we'll be painting the streets of London pink. πŸ˜‰

Now, before I sign off, I want to tell you all about my fabulous evening spent at the Northern Ballet Theatre. The production was absolutely magical – every graceful gesture, every fluid movement, every emotion…pure bliss! And the costumes! Oh, the costumes! All glitz and glam, some even incorporating elements of classic pink! (I just knew I would find something to inspire my own outfits – because let's be honest, every dance aficionado knows that pink is never too much). I also saw a charming street ballet performance on the way back to my little hotel room - truly a magical experience. It seems Tottenham is more than just a football stronghold!

Well, my darling dance lovers, I must be off – more adventures await! I've got a dance class booked for tomorrow (imagine, ballet and new friends! You just can't beat it). And maybe I'll catch some real street ballet as I explore more of this exciting city.

Remember, you don't need a stage to dance. So grab your tutus (pink ones, obviously!) and let your spirit soar.

Keep twirling, darling! πŸ’–

Love, Emma
