Dunstable Darling! πŸ’–πŸ©°

Post 171: December 21st, 1996

Oh, my darlings! It's Emma here, ready to spill the tea on my whirlwind adventure to the charming town of Dunstable. Today, I donned my latest pink creation, a simply divine tutu, with the most exquisite, sparkly details! Think glitter, tulle, and all things frilly. This tutu was special – a hand-me-down from a dear friend who bought it on a trip to Germany. It's truly unique, just like my love for travelling.

My journey to Dunstable started with a beautiful train ride. There's nothing quite like the romance of being whisked away by a train, watching the world whizz by, feeling the gentle rhythm of the carriage... It's like dancing, don't you think? I took a window seat, of course, with my notebook and my beloved ballet magazine. It was the perfect setting to brainstorm some exciting ideas for my next pink tutu photoshoot!

Speaking of ballet, my reason for coming to Dunstable was a truly magical one – a performance of The Nutcracker at the iconic Dunstable Arts Centre. The production was incredible. Every dancer's skill and passion poured off the stage, creating a spectacle of joy and grace. I even managed to nab a quick backstage visit, where I got a sneak peek at the dancers warming up in their stunning costumes. It's always so fascinating to see the incredible detail and craftsmanship behind every element of a ballet performance!

After the performance, I treated myself to a delicious cream tea at a quaint little tea room just a stone's throw from the arts centre. They had the most adorable pink china – I mean, just my kind of tea room! Over a pot of steaming tea and finger sandwiches, I reflected on the day's experiences. It was pure ballet bliss, you see!

As much as I love cities and their dazzling ballet scene, there's something deeply special about experiencing dance in a quaint, little town. It brings a unique energy and intimate atmosphere to the experience. Dunstable truly charmed me with its warm embrace, its friendly faces, and its deep appreciation for the art of ballet.

Speaking of my travels, I’m planning a trip to Wales next week. I can't wait to explore its beautiful landscapes and breathtaking coastline – perhaps with a cheeky horse ride or two! Wales is famous for its ponies, don’t you know, and I just love those beautiful creatures. I might even take a ballet class or two while I’m there - it would be so much fun to share the joy of dance in a new location!

Remember, my darlings, my life’s mission is to get everyone wearing a pink tutu and experiencing the magic of ballet! And who knows, maybe even some Welsh ponies in pink tutus, one day? Wouldn't that be something?!

Until next time, remember to spread joy and embrace your inner ballerina! πŸ©°πŸ’–

Love always, Emma
