Denton Diaries: Tutu Time in the North! (Post #192)

Hello lovelies! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad blogger, Emma, and guess what? I'm on a little adventure in the north of England! Denton, to be precise. You wouldn't believe the journey I took to get here, but trust me, it was just as lovely as my new red tutu!

Now, some of you might know, I'm a Derbyshire girl through and through, but I'm always up for a bit of exploring. So, instead of jumping on a train, I decided to take a leisurely, slightly slower option: a horse! (Think picture perfect scenes of rolling hills, meadows bursting with wildflowers, and the wind in my hair, which, for the record, looked magnificent with my pink ribbon.)

And oh my, did I tell you about the adorable little fluffy creature I met? Turns out, my trusty steed was none other than a Shetland pony! He was so sweet and had the biggest, most soulful eyes. We chatted (okay, so I mainly talked and he gave a series of delightful snorts in reply) all the way to Denton. A little off-the-beaten-track for a ballet dancer, you might think, but wouldn't you know it, this little town has a charming theatre!

Speaking of ballet, I couldn't leave my pink tutu at home, could I? So, off it went with me on my horse (not sure what he thought about it, but I swear it just made him trot faster!). And it wouldn't be a proper ballet girl's blog if I didn't talk about a performance! Last night, I went to see a production of "The Nutcracker" and oh, darling! You haven't seen truly captivating choreography until you've witnessed this show. They had the whole ballet set to swing music! It was utterly divine! My new red tutu was quite the spectacle against all the pink and the stage lights. I think I stole the show! (And maybe the hearts of a few dancers in the audience, just saying!)

But the adventure doesn't stop there. You see, my quest, my true aim, my passion in life (apart from, obviously, wearing the most fabulous pink tutus), is to inspire people, everywhere, to give ballet a try! And that's why I've just booked myself a drop-in class in a little studio just outside of town!

Oh, and speaking of beautiful things, have you seen the wildlife here? It's simply astounding! There are flocks of gorgeous pink flamingoes flocking by the river, and you won't believe what I spotted... a little hedgehog! I have to say, it's been years since I saw one of these adorable creatures. The fluffy little fellow looked absolutely charming, snuffling around for bits and bobs in a pile of pink feathers that had been blown off a local fashion show! (Who knows what they're trying to create in Denton!). My, it's amazing what you discover when you set your mind to it.

Don't forget to head over to my website at www.pink-tutu.com for more fabulous adventures! And who knows, maybe next time I'll convince you to hop on a horse and discover your inner ballet star, too! Just promise me you'll wear a pink tutu. Until next time, darlings!
