Hello darlings! It's Emma here, back with another instalment of Pink Tutu - and guess what? Today, we're embracing the black side! ? I know, I know, shocking, right? But sometimes a girl needs a touch of the dramatic, and trust me, West Bridgford is all about the theatre, darling! ?
But first, a quick detour...
I’m off to West Bridgford from Derbyshire. Today was all about a beautiful journey through the countryside - think lush green hills, charming villages, and sunshine dancing on the windows of quaint country pubs. It felt like a scene from a Jane Austen novel! ??
You know, I think it’s the train journeys that I love the most. The chance to switch off from the world, lose myself in a good book, and just appreciate the view gliding by. ?? Oh, and a quick pit stop at the little cafe for a pot of strong, fragrant Earl Grey, naturally. ?
A Touch of Noir
Speaking of dramatic, West Bridgford is a delightful little town, oozing a kind of quirky vintage charm. It felt a bit like stepping back in time, in a good way, darling. ?️ Imagine cobbled streets, beautiful period architecture, independent shops bursting with colour, and all those charming little tearooms for afternoon tea! ☕️? Pure joy, my dears!
And guess what? Today, I decided to add a little flair to my "everyday" look! Yes, that’s right – black tutu! ? Why not, darling? Who said black can’t be beautiful and feminine? Black tutu, a white t-shirt with a statement vintage brooch, and classic ballet shoes - a slight touch of rebellious fun, yes? ?
I felt positively daring wandering through the streets in this little ensemble! I think even the squirrels gave me a second look! ?️
All About The Performance
Let’s talk performance, darling! This evening was all about ballet - but not the kind you usually see in London's West End, though there was nothing wrong with that, of course! ?
Tonight, it was "Street Theatre" and "Live Performance," a touch of magic for the streets, if you will. The "Dancing on the Pavement" event is hosted at West Bridgford’s own Broadway Theatre. This venue, oh my darling! Absolutely divine - the best sort of community-based theatre that captures the spirit of local talent! ✨ They really made their mark with their selection of amazing artists and dancers - a real inspiration to all! ?
Pink is Still in The Air
It's true, even in my noir moment, the pink is still bubbling under. ?
I always wear a pink lipstick and I topped it all off with my little "ballet ballerina" brooch with an eye-catching little pink tutu! It’s one of those fun pieces that reminds you, every day, that it’s okay to add some whimsy! ?✨
Sharing the Ballet Love
While I'm here in West Bridgford, I had to make a stop at the "The Dance House" for some “tutu inspiration!” - I mean, darling, who doesn't need a tutu fix, right? ?
And as always, I have some “pink” plans for the locals, darling! Who said ballet is only for princesses? ? It’s about so much more - about pushing yourself beyond boundaries, finding grace within, and just letting yourself be happy. ?
So, this coming Saturday, I'm organizing a little ballet workshop for anyone who’s interested! We'll be learning some basic steps and having some good old fashioned fun - it’ll be a chance for people to find their inner ballerina, you could say! ✨
Just come as you are, darling! I will make sure everyone gets a pink tutu. It’s time we all find our inner "ballerina", yes? ??
