Worcester: A Pink Tutu Dream (Post #312)

Hello darlings! It's Emma here, writing to you live from sunny Worcester. I'm back on the road again, this time on a mission to spread the pink tutu love – and what better way to do it than with a German Tutu?!

Let me explain: I stumbled upon this magnificent piece of fluff in a little vintage shop just outside the city. You see, I have a thing for German tutus. The craftsmanship, the delicate lace, the colours – oh, the colours! They just exude a fairytale charm that's hard to resist. This one was a soft, delicate pink, with intricate beading around the hem. It was practically screaming my name!

But this is a story for another post! Today, my lovelies, I'm here to tell you about Worcester. And my goodness, this little city is a hidden gem! It's the perfect blend of history, culture, and that quirky English charm I just adore. I mean, where else can you find a beautiful cathedral perched right in the middle of a bustling market square?

My first stop was, of course, Worcester Cathedral. Its gothic arches and soaring spires are simply breathtaking. It's filled with fascinating stories, and I found myself imagining the medieval monks who walked those very halls centuries ago.

Next, I wandered through the charming streets, dipping into quaint little shops filled with treasures and sipping hot chocolate at a charming tea room called "The Pretty Teacup". They had the most exquisite selection of cakes! I chose a dainty lavender cake, which tasted divine – and the teacups were absolutely adorable.

As the afternoon drew to a close, I found myself at the stunning Worcester Royal Porcelain Factory. Now, I'm a sucker for anything delicate and beautiful, and the craftsmanship of the porcelain was simply mesmerizing. I imagined the skilled hands of the artisans, carefully crafting each piece with such precision and care.

I felt utterly inspired by all the colours and shapes I saw – perhaps the next addition to my wardrobe will be a beautiful hand-painted porcelain brooch to adorn my German Tutu!

Let's talk about the highlight of my day – the Ballet Showcase! I stumbled upon a beautiful little theatre hosting an amateur ballet showcase. It was just a delightful mix of classical pieces and contemporary dance – each performance filled with so much heart and passion. There were some truly talented dancers – their movements so elegant, their expressions so full of emotion! And I have to tell you, seeing so much passion for ballet inspired me so much!

As I made my way to my hotel later that evening, I stopped by the river Severn. The water was sparkling in the golden sunset, and a flock of swans glided gracefully across its surface. There was just a serene beauty to it all, a sense of peace that only comes with a lovely sunset by the water.

Now, the grand finale! As I was putting on my new German tutu to have dinner at the hotel, I met a young girl who told me she was attending her first ever ballet class tomorrow. It made my heart so full, to see her excitement. It reminds me of why I started this blog – to encourage everyone to embrace the magic of ballet. It's for everyone – doesn’t matter if you've been dancing since you were a little girl or you've never even touched a barre. There's a place for you in the world of dance, in all its beautiful forms!

I had a delicious dinner of lamb and rosemary potatoes (they are a bit of a comfort food to me, you see) and a glass of Pinot Grigio (always!), all while reminiscing about the day’s events and pondering what tomorrow would bring!

As always, dear darlings, keep your head held high and never forget the magic that a pink tutu can bring to your life. Stay beautiful and stay inspired.

Lots of love,

Emma
