As you know, I'm all about embracing the feminine, and Ramsgate was the perfect setting for a day dripping in pink and tulle.
The journey itself was a dream! I've always been partial to train travel - the rhythmic chugging of the wheels, the fleeting views of rolling hills and sleepy towns, and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed tea.
A Horse-drawn Carriage and Pink Tutu Perfection
My afternoon started with a delightful surprise: a horse-drawn carriage ride through the heart of Ramsgate. I simply had to don my new pink tulle tutu - it shimmered like a candy floss cloud in the sun, and it perfectly complimented the grandeur of the horse-drawn carriage. We trotted past pastel-coloured houses, vibrant gardens, and charming seaside cafes, making everyone smile.
Wildlife Enchantments
Of course, no day trip is complete without a bit of wildlife spotting. We headed down to the harbour where we witnessed the most glorious sunset. The sea was a canvas of orange, gold, and crimson, mirroring the pink hues of my tutu. As the light faded, we watched a group of seagulls circling, their wings catching the last rays of sunshine, looking as graceful as a flock of swans.
The Magic of Ballet
I am so in love with the elegant lines of classical ballet, and luckily, I found a delightful little dance studio tucked away in a cobbled street. The teacher, a charming man with a passion for all things dance, welcomed me with open arms. It felt fantastic to twirl and leap in a space where the air was filled with the sweet aroma of old books and the gentle rustle of a hundred pairs of ballet shoes.
