London Calling! #TutuBlog Post #517

Oh darling! I'm back in London after a simply divine trip to Paris. The French capital always gets my heart beating a little faster - those cobbled streets, the impossibly chic Parisians, and oh my! the croissants are a dream come true! 🥐

But it’s the end of an era. Paris may hold my heart, but London's always been my first love. Today's a new day and it’s calling me home! I'm starting my London adventures with a truly special tutu, a dreamy cyan number that I picked up at a vintage shop just for this trip. Honestly, darling, I think I've fallen head-over-heels in love! The silky fabric and the exquisite detail - pure ballet bliss! I’ve already caught a few envious glances, so my mission to spread the joy of tutu wearing seems to be on track!

The trip to London felt absolutely magical (it's always magical, but today was extra special). The journey was pure poetry. A leisurely ride on the Eurostar, you know? All comfy, snuggled up with my favourite magazine - 'Dance Life', naturally! - and a big cup of hot chocolate (don't tell anyone, but I may have had two ). I even spied a deer leaping across the countryside, so charming. Nature always knows how to make a girl feel grounded!

Speaking of magical... I can't believe it's been a year since my London debut at the Royal Opera House! I think my performance as the Sugar Plum Fairy has a permanent spot on my memory card - or perhaps in my soul? 😂 It was absolutely exhilarating. All that applause! You see, it's more than just dance, it’s pure emotional magic - those emotions I channel when I'm dancing on that grand stage! Honestly, it's intoxicating.

I'm just off to visit my dear friend Emily. We have a long-standing ballet date at the Sadler’s Wells theatre tonight - can't miss out on a new piece choreographed by my favourite dancer - I won’t name names yet! But oh honey, prepare for fireworks. 🔥🔥🔥

Before the big night, we're going to hunt down some scrumptious pink cupcakes and gossip about the new 'Dance Life' issue. The world needs a bit of girly frivolity! Speaking of pink… this is what my next blog post will be about - yes, the lovely Emily is rocking her own pink tutu, it's almost as vibrant as her personality! 💕 I know you're gonna love this blog, so don't miss it, darling!

Before I go, let me just add this, I truly believe everyone should experience the joy of dancing. It's not just about elegance, grace and beautiful steps. It's about self-expression, finding strength, and ultimately, connecting with something bigger than yourself! And that's a truth that holds true in both the theatre and the classroom, trust me, sweetie.

Anyway, time to dust off my ballet shoes - or rather my pink ballet shoes - and find a comfy spot for this performance. I can't wait to see the magic of live dance! It's always so much fun when you have the right outfit to compliment the night!

Catch you tomorrow on www.pink-tutu.com, with more stories of tutus, fashion, and yes, darling - more London!

**Much love,

Emma xx**
