Whitley Bay Whirlwind: Post 965

Oh my darlings,

How are you all today? My little heart is overflowing with sunshine after a fabulous trip to Whitley Bay! It was my first time visiting this lovely seaside town, and let me tell you, it didn't disappoint. As usual, I wore my trusty red tutu, just perfect for twirling along the seafront. I love a little splash of colour, especially when I'm exploring a new place, and red just seemed to perfectly match the bright blue of the sky.

Now, let's be honest, Whitley Bay has something magical about it, doesn't it? That salty air, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore, the feeling of sand between your toes… all things that make a ballerina's soul sing. And of course, the pièce de résistance: the majestic pier! Imagine the sheer thrill of twirling down that long, wooden promenade, feeling the breeze in your hair and the waves washing up at your feet. Pure bliss!

I simply had to take a trip to the theatre, naturally! What's a ballet lover to do but admire the exquisite talent of local performers? I witnessed an enchanting production of 'Swan Lake' that took my breath away. I was so moved, my heart literally danced in my chest. It was a perfect reminder that ballet truly is the art of the ages.

But it wasn't just the theatrical arts that made this trip memorable. I had the most delightful afternoon watching the seals frolicking on the beach. Those adorable, mischievous creatures always make my day. And their playful acrobatics just reminded me of how ballet, with its graceful movements, really reflects the beautiful natural world.

Of course, no trip to a coastal town would be complete without a lovely afternoon tea! This time, it was nestled in a charming cafe overlooking the harbour. My teacups and plates were adorned with little pink roses – pure elegance! You all know how much I adore pink, and I can't resist a touch of whimsy in my life.

I simply couldn't resist picking up a beautiful shell on the beach as a souvenir. Its delicate curves and intricate patterns held the echo of the waves, and reminded me of all the memories I made in Whitley Bay. Now, I can't wait to display it on my dressing table, surrounded by my little treasures and ballerina trinkets!

As I travel further and further, my love for the ballet seems to grow too. I find it's the perfect way to truly get to know a new place. Every city has its own unique flair, and each ballet performance is a little story, waiting to unfold.

Speaking of which, I am off to explore the enchanting city of York next week. And, of course, I wouldn't dream of missing their wonderful Ballet Festival! I can already envision myself whirling through the cobbled streets, wearing a pale pink tutu – it’s all in the details, darling!

My darling readers, as always, I encourage you to spread the pink tutu love. Life is simply too short not to embrace a little colour and joy, and let's be honest, every day is a new chance to be a little bit graceful. Until next time!

P.S. If you haven’t tried a horse riding class in your town, then please, I beg you to! The feeling of galloping through fields, with the wind in your hair and the sun on your face… simply divine! You might even find you have a hidden talent. And who knows, you could end up discovering the next dance sensation – 'Ballet on Horses'!

Yours eternally,

Emma x
