Bicester Bound! 🩰💖

Hello, darlings!

It’s Emma here, your resident pink tutu enthusiast, and guess what? I’m off on a grand adventure to Bicester today! 🚂 It's my 996th blog post, and I couldn't be more excited to share all the lovely little details with you.

Bicester is a beautiful little town in Oxfordshire, and you know how much I adore exploring the countryside. It’s quite a bit of a trek from my humble Derbyshire home, but worth every minute when you have a fabulous outfit in tow! Speaking of outfits… let me introduce you to my new, ooh la la Italian tutu! It’s a masterpiece of pink and silver tulle with layers upon layers of delicate silk. I literally could have died when I saw it in the shop window. It’s so, so utterly girly, and let’s be honest, that’s my absolute weakness! 😉

Before heading off, I had to pop down to the stables for a little trot around the fields. It's amazing how horses seem to be as excited for my ballet outings as I am. I’m not sure it’s my sparkly tutus or the smell of my hairspray that makes them gallop so fast, but they love it! And what a better way to feel graceful and feminine than on the back of a beautiful horse, surrounded by nature’s vibrant hues. Isn’t that the perfect inspiration for a ballerina? 🌸

And you wouldn't believe what I spotted during my gallop! A cute family of deer peeking out from behind a thicket of trees. I’m telling you, this countryside life is filled with magic! I'm always so amazed at how much joy wildlife brings. Maybe I should be writing a wildlife blog too - I’ve just got so much to say about nature and its beauty.

Of course, no ballet adventure would be complete without a little ballet practice, and I have a fantastic ballet class booked in Bicester today. The studio is situated in a charming old building with exposed beams and stained glass windows – how utterly delightful! I’m really looking forward to moving and grooving with the local ballet lovers. They'll love my new tutu!

Now, back to Bicester and the real reason for my trip. There's a stunning ballet performance taking place at the Bicester Theatre tonight - "The Nutcracker!" You just can't go wrong with a Christmas classic, can you? It's filled with incredible choreography, stunning costumes, and of course, that enchanting Tchaikovsky score. It makes me want to leap, twirl, and jump for joy just thinking about it! 🤩

I already booked myself a spot on the front row (of course!) because a true ballerina has got to be right in the heart of the action. I'm thinking of wearing a pale pink velvet cape with a silver pin to add a little bit of flair to my evening look. I simply adore how the theatre always brings out the drama queen in me! 😉

After the show, I’m going to have a bite to eat at the most adorable little Italian restaurant – I've heard their ravioli is out of this world. It’ll be a lovely way to end a truly magical day. After all, eating amazing pasta in a cosy, candlelit restaurant – isn’t that the stuff fairytales are made of? 🍝✨

But enough about me and my day of dancing and twirling! What’s happening in your world? I’d love to hear about it. What’s your favourite ballet? Do you have any exciting plans for this week? Have you discovered your own inner ballerina? And most importantly, have you joined the pink tutu movement yet? 🩰

Because let’s be honest, we can’t let our inner tutu-loving self fade away! So grab your favourite pink garment, slip on some ballerina slippers (or maybe even just some fluffy socks), and embrace the wonder and joy of movement and freedom.

Until next time,

Stay beautiful and keep twirling!

Love, Emma 💖
