Hello my darlings, and welcome to another day in the magical world of pink tutus and pirouettes!
Today, I’m whisking you off to Aberdeen, a gorgeous coastal city in Scotland, nestled on the North Sea. I travelled by train, of course! Nothing beats the romance of a chugging steam engine or the gentle sway of the carriage. And oh, my dears, the views out the window were breathtaking. Emerald fields rolling into the blue horizon… sigh! So peaceful.
But let’s not forget the real star of the show – Aberdeen! I landed at a cute little hotel with an adorable cafe right in the heart of the city. My room was a sweet, frilly paradise, all pinks and lace – just like I love it! 💖 You can bet I brought my fluffy pink travel tutu with me. How could I leave her behind? She deserves to travel in style!
The city was buzzing with excitement, ready to greet me with open arms! As I wandered through the cobblestone streets, I saw an elegant Italian store full of…wait for it… gorgeous, flowing, and oh-so-dreamy tutus! Not just any tutus either, but tutus with flair! They had delicate lace, shimmering beads, and colours that could make you weep with joy – emerald, amethyst, even a beautiful silver grey, perfect for a cool moonlit waltz. I had to snatch up one – a masterpiece in shimmering pink, just the colour of the setting sun!
Aberdeen’s rich history just oozed from the very cobblestones. I found myself transported to another time at the majestic, old St Nicholas Kirk. It’s stunning with a gorgeous archway made of stone, soaring up into the sky. This place is brimming with a real fairytale feel! 💖 And talking of fairytales, let's talk about my favourite thing: ballet.
On the recommendation of a local, I discovered a fantastic dance academy tucked away down a quiet street. You'll never believe this, but they had a whole afternoon dedicated to “Tutu Tales"! We all gathered for a class in flowing pink tutus, the most adorable ones I’d ever seen! I learned the most magical waltz – the ballerina teacher even spun a little tale for us about a brave princess battling dragons and fairies in the most graceful ways. My heart soared, it truly was the most delightful time!
The highlight of my day, though, was an enchanting evening performance at Aberdeen’s lovely Music Hall. “The Nutcracker" came alive before my very eyes. Each graceful leap, each pirouette was just pure poetry in motion. The delicate costumes were pure whimsy and the set was magical, filled with glittering snowflakes and twirling waltzes. After the performance, the atmosphere in the theater was absolutely electric – I had to dance in the aisle! It felt magical! I felt as though I had been transformed into one of the dancing snowflakes myself!

Of course, no visit to a seaside town is complete without a visit to the beach, especially in Scotland with its glorious scenery. I went for a stroll on the sands of Aberdeen Beach, breathing in the fresh air and taking in the panoramic views of the coast. It’s a beautiful thing to have both city and nature right next door to each other. And, I was so lucky, I spotted a family of grey seals enjoying themselves right near the shore! A majestic creature with big eyes that just captivated me - they are nature’s little ballerinas, aren’t they, my darlings?
This whole journey has been pure magic, and now, with my shimmering pink tutu, Aberdeen holds a special place in my heart. And for that, my dears, I can’t wait for my next adventure!
