Sutton in Ashfield - Tutu Travels! (Post #1177) ๐Ÿฉฐ๐Ÿ’–

Hey my lovely tutu-twirlers!

It's Emma here, your resident pink-tutu-wearing, ballet-obsessed blogger, and guess what? I'm off on another adventure! This time, I'm taking my love of dance and a whole lotta pink all the way to Sutton in Ashfield!

A Tutu-filled Day in the East Midlands

Now, you might be thinking, "Sutton in Ashfield? Isn't that a bit... unexpected?" And you're right! But believe me, this little town is brimming with charm. It's the kind of place where you can wander down cobbled streets, pop into independent tea shops with the most adorable floral wallpaper, and feel the warmth of genuine community spirit.

Of course, no trip would be complete without a tutu stop! I've got my red tutu on, it's a little sassy with a touch of flamenco flair, just the right amount of flair for my day of explorations. It's always fun to bring a bit of a playful pink punch to any setting.

Horses, Hounds, and the Ballet Bug

First on the agenda: a visit to the Sutton Manor Riding Centre. You guys know I'm a huge fan of horses, and the sheer beauty of the Derbyshire countryside makes riding a magical experience. It was a gentle hack this time, and there was something wonderfully peaceful about galloping along with the breeze in my hair and the countryside stretching out in all directions.

From horseback, we ventured to the nearby Clumber Park, an enormous parkland with towering ancient oaks and stunning wildlife. This is a nature enthusiast's dream! Imagine โ€“ deer, foxes, owls, and a million different kinds of birds all flitting around. I felt like I'd stepped straight into a fairytale. I even caught a glimpse of a shy hedgehog!

Finding Ballet in the Unexpected

Now, you might be surprised to learn that this journey was all about spreading the ballet love. I'm always on the lookout for ways to encourage more people to discover the magic of ballet.

So, imagine my delight when I stumbled across a local theatre group! It turns out, Sutton in Ashfield has a vibrant arts scene, and these talented actors were busy rehearsing for a new production. And guess what? They loved my red tutu, and the whole place lit up with pink! It's amazing how one piece of vibrant fabric can open up conversation and share a little joy.

We talked about everything from classic ballet to street dance and musical theatre, and the best thing was, they were so welcoming and enthusiastic. This is the kind of atmosphere that inspires me to keep spreading the pink ballet love!

My Tutu-Inspired Take Away

Sutton in Ashfield might not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of ballet, but trust me โ€“ there's a vibrant, unexpected beauty to this town. From horses to hounds, and from quaint cafes to passionate theatre groups, I found a true community spirit and a warmth that reminded me of the best things about my Derbyshire roots.

So, if you're ever looking for an adventurous getaway with a little bit of pink tutu magic, put Sutton in Ashfield on your list! And remember, wherever you are, never forget that ballet is a beautiful expression for everyone, no matter where they are, or who they are!
