High Wycombe High-kicks!

Helloooo darlings! It's Emma here, bringing you a fabulously pink blast from High Wycombe, the heart of Buckinghamshire! As a girl who loves a good journey, it goes without saying that travelling by train is right up my street! This time I chose a good old fashioned journey by train, it's so much more glamorous than the M40, don't you think?

Today was all about ballet - I just had to see the world renowned "Royal Ballet" at the Wycombe Swan, you see. And as we all know, when you're headed to the theatre, it's an absolute no-brainer to wear a tutu! Today was a black one, a sleek and sophisticated number that I felt perfectly channelled my inner Swan Lake ballerina.

This town is a little haven for theatre and culture, so you can imagine how excited I was to see what treasures lay in wait. First off, it's a bit of a fairytale town. Cobblestone streets, old-fashioned architecture, it was just so quaint. And don't even get me started on the shopping, from vintage treasures to trendy boutiques, High Wycombe definitely had me covered!

But it’s all about ballet, you see.

The ballet was a stunning performance – I was completely swept away. My favourite was a lovely little bit, a solo performance that moved me so deeply! I even shed a little tear (not to be dramatic, but the emotions got the better of me!). Anya was breathtaking; her grace was pure magic! Oh, the magic of ballet, folks!

After the performance, I couldn’t resist a quick browse through the Swan's theatre shop, always a joy. I scooped up some goodies - a pretty pink ballet bookmark, a pair of elegant Swan Lake earrings, and, you know I love a good souvenir, a tiny ballet-themed mug, perfect for my tea.

The Wycombe Swan really does live up to its name – all graceful and elegant, with a stage fit for royalty. It felt as if the theatre itself had a spirit, as though the souls of countless dancers and singers resonated through its very fabric.

Dinner fit for a queen

My tummy started to rumble, and I knew that after a fab afternoon like this, a meal was definitely in order! High Wycombe has a bustling culinary scene – you can’t throw a stone without hitting a charming café or a fantastic restaurant! So, of course, I opted for a table at the chicest French-themed eatery in town! It was all soft lights, Parisian vibes, and a mouthwatering menu with just the right touch of 'je ne sais quoi.'

A pink day in High Wycombe

It's funny how a place like High Wycombe can capture your imagination – it felt like stepping out of a Victorian novel, in the best way possible. A charming afternoon exploring quaint streets, seeing a masterpiece of ballet, enjoying a divine meal… it's a perfect day, don’t you think? I must tell you, High Wycombe is definitely becoming one of my favourite spots for a a theatrical escape.

My friends often ask me about the inspiration for "Pink Tutu." Well, for me, pink isn't just a color, it's an attitude. It’s optimistic, cheerful, a touch of magic! And that, my dears, is what Pink Tutu is all about.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have an important "mission" – to bring the magic of pink tutus to every corner of the globe. Just imagine the world! A splash of pink here, a twirl there… what’s stopping us?

For now, keep your feet light, your heart full of joy, and don’t forget to “Dance with me!''

See you tomorrow!

Lots of love,
Emma
