Kingswood Calling! TutuBlog Post #1460

Hey my darlings!

It's Emma here, back with another juicy little slice of TutuBlog life! Today's post is all about my whimsical escapade to Kingswood - think lush greenery, galloping horses and a touch of Bavarian magic, all wrapped up in a fluffy pink bow!

My trusty steed, the 10:45 from Derby, delivered me to the heart of Kingswood, a haven for nature lovers and horsey types. Let me tell you, there's nothing quite like the gentle sway of a train carriage to get those creative juices flowing, especially when you're wearing your favourite blush-coloured tutu and a cute little floral headband! It's practically impossible to frown when you're enveloped in a pink paradise, right? πŸ˜‰

Kingswood is an idyllic village, bursting with charm and brimming with horses! (If you know me, you know how much I love a good gallop!🐴). I couldn't resist a cheeky photoshoot by the village pond with a couple of local ponies – let's just say my inner ballerina got to twirl with those furry friends, making a scene, naturally.

My main reason for visiting Kingswood was to experience a truly unique ballet event - The Bavarian Ballet Company, renowned for its exquisitely elegant choreography and stunning costuming. The performance, held in a beautifully converted barn (with a glorious view over rolling hills, no less!), was like stepping into a dream! The dancers were simply phenomenal, their movements fluid and expressive. I was particularly captivated by the lead ballerina's emerald-green tutu; it sparkled under the stage lights, reminding me of a blooming forest.

After the show, I wandered through the village, charmed by its quaint shops and old-fashioned pubs. I spotted a gorgeous, antique-looking shop with a beautiful selection of hand-painted porcelain. One little pink ballerina caught my eye, practically calling my name, and I just had to have her. My collection is growing, but I'm still waiting to find a pink porcelain ballerina in a pink tutu – how about that, universe? ✨

Now, on to the star of my Kingswood visit - the German Bodice. This beautiful little piece of costume jewellery was tucked away in a little boutique, just begging to be worn with my pink tutu! It's made of intricately woven silver, accented with dainty, pink crystals that shimmer in the sunlight. It’s exactly what my ballerina heart craved: delicate, intricate, and perfectly feminine. And of course, I'm going to be sporting it with pride – if you spot a ballerina with pink sparkles on her bodice and a beaming grin on her face, you know it's me!

My day in Kingswood ended with a picnic on the banks of the River Avon, watching the sunset paint the sky in vibrant hues of pink, orange, and purple. What could be more magical? I was even lucky enough to see a playful otter darting about in the water – they are just the most adorable creatures! (My love of wildlife knows no bounds – one of my future dream adventures is to do a wildlife safari!)

Overall, my Kingswood experience was just dreamy – It's the perfect mix of fairytale romance, vibrant beauty, and, of course, the captivating art of ballet. So, if you're looking for a little escape, I highly recommend you take a train ride to Kingswood, wear your best pink tutu (naturally!) and embrace the magic.

And while you're at it, why not give ballet a go? Whether it’s a drop-in class, or a fancy show, ballet can add a sprinkle of sparkle to anyone's life! I believe in the transformative power of ballet to uplift the spirits, to foster creativity and express oneself!

Stay pink, my lovely Tutu-Lovers, and remember: "Life is a stage, and we are all actors in the grand performance."

With a twirl and a smile,

Emma xx
