#TutuBlog 2000-07-06 in Cleethorpes with a red tutu.

Hello my gorgeous ballet bunnies! It's your girl, Emma, here, ready to bring some serious sparkle to your day! Today I’m waltzing into the delightful seaside town of Cleethorpes, a perfect setting for a Tutuful Adventure! This little beauty has it all – beaches, history, fish and chips, and you can even find some delightful independent boutiques – just my kind of place. And let’s be honest, it's just screaming for a touch of pink tulle, don't you think?

Right, as you can imagine, I’m not going to Cleethorpes without a seriously statement tutu! It's not just any tutu, darling, it's my gorgeous red one. Yes, you heard me, red! This isn't a colour we typically see on a tutu, which makes it even more fun! I picked this one up from a vintage shop back home in Derbyshire – and I can't resist a little bit of colour! I’m also wearing my classic pink beret and some statement heels, but, shhhh… don’t tell the horses, my beloved mode of transport for the journey to the coast. They don’t love me putting on the stilettos too often.

The train journey from the station at Grantham was as scenic as ever, whizzing through the lovely green countryside. A quick pitstop in a sweet little café (and of course, I’ve got a picture of my tutu with a gorgeous raspberry iced cupcake – all the evidence you need, darling!). And before long, I was waltzing along the promenade.

Firstly, let's be honest – who can resist a bit of fish and chips by the sea? You can tell that I’m definitely not afraid to break my diet rules now and again! That and a delicious cup of tea. This, darling, was a Tutuful moment for sure.

Next stop – The Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway! A trip back in time in this charming little railway with my stunning red tutu? A-mazing. Imagine my surprise, there wasn't a single person on the platform without a camera. Oh darling, a complete Tutu-mania!

As the evening was settling in, I strolled towards the charming little harbour. It was a truly beautiful sight – the colourful boats bobbing gently in the water and a spectacular view of the setting sun. What a perfect location for a solo Tutu ballet performance! And I do mean, "performance."

But of course, I wasn't alone. You know how I love to chat, and one thing led to another! Before I knew it, a group of local lads had joined in, trying to do their version of ballet with a touch of 'Cleethorpes flair'. Honestly, I laughed my heart out! What a way to make memories – and get the locals moving.

My biggest hope is to spread the joy of dance, whether it's a ballet performance in a bustling city or a choreographed impromptu routine with the locals! We did an impromptu ballet routine to the tune of “Summertime” in the sunshine – I even threw in a couple of the signature Cleethorpes ‘crab dance’ steps. We laughed and danced until the sun finally dipped below the horizon, a perfect day with even more perfect new friends!

We sat on a bench, chatting about anything and everything! It felt so lovely to just relax and enjoy the company of new friends - who are, of course, massive tutu fans. These delightful ladies have an even more brilliant fashion sense than myself - I mean, did you see the bright yellow fur they rocked today? I may even write them up for an inspirational “Outfit of the Day” for our lovely #PinkTutu readers!

But remember my dears, it’s all about confidence! Embrace the colour, be bold, dance and move - you don’t have to be perfect. You can just be you – be your own shining, gorgeous and sassy, pink ballerina self.

So remember to visit your local town – Cleethorpes or wherever it might be, find some stunning spots – just perfect for a Tutuful Adventure!
