Shenley Brook End: A Tutu Adventure in Pink

#1535

Hello my lovely lot!

Welcome to my daily dose of pink tutu magic, landing on your screens from the heart of Shenley Brook End! I can’t quite believe I've only just discovered this little corner of the world – it's like a step back in time with its pretty village charm and oh, those quaint cobbled streets! Honestly, it feels like it should be in a fairytale!

As always, it was a tutu-tiful journey here, a combination of a relaxing train journey, followed by a quick horse-drawn carriage ride right into the heart of the village. The carriage driver, bless his heart, couldn’t stop himself from humming a little tune, and wouldn’t you know it, it was a classic ballet score! A delightful coincidence, if you ask me!

The first thing that grabbed my attention in Shenley Brook End was this beautiful park nestled right by the village green. Think rolling hills, fragrant roses, and enough squirrels to fill a zoo! (Well, maybe not a full zoo, but you get the picture.)

They even had this cute little café right on the edge of the park serving the most delicious scones. So I had a proper girly afternoon with a cuppa, a slice of Victoria sponge, and of course, a massive pile of those scones! Oh, and the scone was dusted with sugar crystals - that just added the extra sparkle to the whole afternoon. I truly felt like a princess!

My mission in life is to get everyone dancing and twirling, and what better place than Shenley Brook End to make a little impact on the world. My dear readers, let me tell you about something that made me seriously squeal! They have a monthly ballet evening! It’s in a proper grand old Victorian hall, you know, the kind with those sweeping stairs and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling!

It's just magical. So I had a wonderful time watching all the lovely dancers, all the lovely tutus (there were so many colours, my eyes were practically popping out!), the wonderful performance! It's given me a real hankering to put on my dancing shoes myself and head back for their next ballet evening. If anyone needs me, I'll be twirling in the street, ready to do a little street ballet!

You know, one of the things I really love about ballet, aside from the beauty and the grace of the movement, is how inclusive it can be. Anyone can take part! My dear readers, we should all have a try! And what better time to do so, than in the gorgeous autumnal hues of this charming village?

Let’s talk outfits! The theme was ‘pink’ (which is, obviously, my favorite colour!). Naturally, I wore my absolute favourite tulle tutu (a magnificent explosion of bubblegum pink) and, my brand new glittery ballet pumps - you haven't seen shimmer like this! It looked like someone had spilled a tin of glitter over the whole darn thing!

And of course, what’s a ballerina’s ensemble without a touch of a little sparkle? I wore my tiny pink velvet heart pendant. It really finished the look and brought it all together. Let me tell you, it was truly a night to remember!

Now, my fellow dancers, it's your turn to embrace your inner tutu! Where is the prettiest, most fairytale-like place you’ve discovered in the UK? Where would you go for an impromptu pink-tutu picnic? And most importantly, are you going to put on your dancing shoes and embrace your inner ballerino, or ballerina? Share it all with me at www.pink-tutu.com, I want to know all about it!

And my darling readers, don't forget to keep on twirling!

Love, Emma x
