Bristol Bound! πŸ©°πŸ’–

#TutuBlog - Post #1554 - 4th October 2000

Hello my darlings! I'm bursting with excitement to share my Bristol adventure with you today. πŸš‚ This lovely city calls to me with its vibrant arts scene and charming cobbled streets, not to mention its proximity to the Mendip Hills, where I hear there are adorable wild ponies roaming free. Who wouldn't be tempted?!

Anyway, enough with the daydreaming – let's dive into the nitty-gritty, shall we? I boarded the train with my trusty pink suitcase and a certain sparkly pink tutu tucked in my bag. Yes, I know what you're thinking – Bristol needs a bit of pink! I can already picture the astonished looks as I pirouette onto the streets – I'll probably have a gaggle of little girls following me around like I'm their personal ballet fairy! ✨

Speaking of fairy tales, I'm planning to catch the Royal Ballet's "Giselle" tonight – what a treat! It's the perfect ballet for a rainy autumn day, wouldn't you agree? So, get ready for a review that's going to be bursting with tutus, twirls, and pure, unadulterated enchantment. I just love how this dance draws on all those mystical themes: nature, love, betrayal – it truly speaks to the heart of the Romantic period.

Oh, and by the way, you know I wouldn't miss out on a bit of ballet-related fun. Did you know there's a fantastic ballet class for all levels just a stone's throw from my hotel? Well, my darling Tutu Bloggers, guess who's going to be there – your very own pink tutu queen! I'll let you know all about it – what a wonderful way to stretch those muscles and discover some hidden talents!

Now, about this fabulous pancake tutu... My dearest friend Polly, bless her soul, whipped up this absolute beauty. She hand-dyed it in shades of shimmering pink, with rows of the cutest little pancakes cascading down the skirt. Just picture it, a confectionery ballet dream! I can't wait to twirl around in it - and it pairs perfectly with a cup of tea and a warm scone, if I do say so myself. 🧁

Oh, and I wouldn't forget about the little detail: Polly decided to make tiny pink bow-ties for the mini-pancakes. I tell you, it's the epitome of pink-tastic chic! πŸŽ€

This isn't just any trip, my loves. I'm going to get everyone twirling. I’ll be bringing you tips on where to find the best dance classes in town, my top five pink-tastic restaurants, and some behind-the-scenes glimpses of my theatrical discoveries. I promise it’s going to be a trip overflowing with pirouettes, passion, and an extra dose of that fabulous pink energy you know and love.

Stay tuned for a flurry of posts, and don't forget to check in for my evening review of "Giselle!"

See you soon, my precious darlings, and remember, pink tutus are always the answer!

Love,

Emma xx
