Aberdeen, My Lovely! 🩰💕 (Post #1571)

Hello darlings!

It's your favourite tutu-wearing traveller, Emma, checking in from the lovely city of Aberdeen! This wee gem of a place is right up my street, it’s so pretty and it makes me want to twirl in my pinkest tutu, which of course, I did! It's got the same kind of vibe as my hometown of Derbyshire, but with an extra dose of coastal charm, plus they love ballet, which is just the best thing ever. I could twirl for days!

I'm travelling about this beautiful country, exploring the wonders of our great isles. I am on a mission you know, to show you all just how magical ballet can be. No need to worry if you’re not the ballerina type because, frankly darling, there’s no wrong way to love ballet! It's just pure joy!

The Journey To Aberdeen

I'm on the train again, which I adore! There is something so chic and romantic about travelling on a train. My journey started from the gorgeous Peak District, in my own home county, Derbyshire, and whizzed along through quaint villages and breathtaking countryside. It's funny, I saw a family of deer, totally at home in the wilderness just by the railway tracks - as if they’d lived there all their lives. And then, a fleeting moment, as they ran by, a burst of pure natural grace, and it got me thinking - perhaps grace isn’t only about ballerinas in tutus, it’s all around us if we stop and truly observe.

Reaching Aberdeen was like stepping into a storybook - all cobbled streets and traditional buildings, and a charming little seaside atmosphere. It really feels like the centre of a little ballet storybook! Imagine all the stories those walls could tell, oh, I just adore those old-world stories! I was so happy to arrive.

The First Day in Aberdeen

Right, let's talk pink! (because everything is better with pink, don’t you think?) As I’ve been busy exploring, I've got to tell you about this little treasure of a vintage shop I stumbled upon. Can you imagine, it was jam packed with amazing items that are practically begging to be taken home and styled up for a grand twirl or an extravagant photoshoot. Imagine - all this history at your fingertips. My darling, you must know that a touch of pink vintage will elevate your life tenfold! I almost burst with excitement! I ended up getting the most beautiful silk scarf with tiny pink rosebuds - a must-have! And because I just adore animals, you can't imagine how delighted I was to spot a real pink flamingo! Pink Flamingo’s are the queens of fashion you know, especially in pink. It just brought out the best in this place - and, trust me, they both brought out the best in me too!

I felt inspired and, feeling extra, decided to slip on my tulle ballet shoes, perfect for an afternoon stroll. This city is perfect for wandering around - I adore a place that just makes me want to take a gentle twirl on the spot.

A Ballet Wonderland

Speaking of ballet, it turned out Aberdeen has a super fantastic ballet school that offers classes for every level - beginners to professional dancers like me! What a gem, right? It reminded me of the days I trained in Derbyshire, so I felt like I was home for the afternoon! They were hosting a charity event for a local hospice - which you know is just brilliant. You just never know who’s watching and who you can inspire. I actually decided to drop in, to put my Tutu knowledge to good use, of course!

It was magical. There's something special about a shared passion for ballet that transcends language and cultural differences. There are so many different reasons why people fall in love with the beauty of ballet! For me, I love how you can pour your heart into your dance, feel like you're floating with the lightness of movement, the sense of strength and freedom!

As a seasoned tutu wearer, you’ve gotta try their pointe shoes too, darling - they were practically dancing in my hand! Just gorgeous. There is no finer piece of equipment in the world for a proper ballet routine. It made me want to twirl with grace. I had a real fluttery, heart-stopping moment of utter delight!

I even got a chance to check out some of the amazing dancers at a ballet show on the beach. Can you imagine? Such creativity. This was truly a sight to behold! Imagine this: sand, waves, salty sea air and the exquisite elegance of dancers, they were absolutely mesmerising, all whilst keeping time to the sound of the lapping waves!

Aberdeen is now the epitome of pink-tutu fashion! All this fabulousness has led me to a little observation that I want to share with you my lovely reader!

Life is about a tutu attitude

See, life, in my opinion, is really just like ballet! Ballet takes confidence and it takes strength, it takes believing in yourself, it takes all the effort to move forward. And most importantly, darling, you have to enjoy the process of becoming that very best, most elegant, and stunning version of yourself.

And the secret is, it’s all about finding your own style of elegance. Because being fashionable isn't about chasing trends, it’s about feeling good in your own skin!

You can try pink. You can try ballet!

In my life, I’ve learnt to let go of all those limitations we put on ourselves, because “no” isn't always a no. It’s always “why not?” And that’s why I want everyone to try wearing pink, because it’s just simply delicious! Just try on that tutu, let your confidence shine through and enjoy every minute of it. What is more freeing, more joyful than the chance to twirl? Just like everyone can be a ballerina, I firmly believe anyone can pull off the fabulous, confident look of pink, the pink tutu vibe! And that’s what I’m going to keep saying - go on darling! Get in your pink, get into that tutu, try ballet, and have fun with it. Let the magic begin!

See you in my next post, from my next wonderful, fabulous adventure. Remember: life is about that tutu attitude! Stay fabulous and don’t be afraid to wear pink.

Lots of love,

Emma, from your very favourite website www.pink-tutu.com
