Hello darlings! It's Emma here, back with another delightful instalment from my pink-tinted travels! Today, I'm whisking you away to Falkirk, a little Scottish gem I discovered on a whim. Oh, how I adore train journeys, don't you? The clickety-clack of the tracks, the rush of wind as you zoom past green fields... It's so wonderfully romantic!
Speaking of romantic, my outfit was utterly fabulous. My new, sunshiney orange tutu - it just shouts joy! I paired it with a darling pink cashmere cardigan and my trusty leather boots. You know, a girl's gotta be prepared for anything!
Now, Falkirk itself is a charming town, steeped in history with its impressive canal system. I was especially enamoured with the Kelpies - these majestic, giant horse sculptures perched by the water's edge. I practically fainted from their magnificence!
While in Falkirk, I couldn't resist popping into the Falkirk Ballet School - a true oasis for ballet lovers! The studio had such a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere. I just had to steal a few moments for some practice, twirling through those lovely studios with my trusty pink tutu trailing behind me. My, oh my, the staff were just delighted when I told them about my Pink-Tutu blog! It's becoming such a delightful community for all of us passionate about dance.
Of course, I couldn't resist sampling the local fare - a delightful Scottish afternoon tea at the Grand Hotel. Honestly, the scones were divine! And the dainty finger sandwiches, oh my goodness, they were utterly charming!
Before heading back to Derbyshire, I had to experience a touch of the wild side. I took a delightful horseback ride through the surrounding countryside, admiring the majestic red deer who grace this lovely landscape. Such gentle, elegant creatures. I felt as if I were truly stepping back in time!
Falkirk has certainly captured my heart - a charming blend of history, beauty, and ballet. If you're looking for a truly captivating weekend break, do put Falkirk on your list. You won't be disappointed!
