North Shields Calling! Pink Tutu Adventures #2265

Hello, lovelies! It's Emma here, your resident pink-tutu-wearing, ballet-obsessed adventurer, reporting live from the seaside town of North Shields.

The wind is whipping through my hair, a seagull just tried to steal my sandwich (seriously, the cheek!), and I'm surrounded by the most charming, slightly quirky seaside shops you could imagine. Oh, and let's not forget the star of the show - a brand-new cyan tutu that's just itching to be twirled!

For those of you who don't know, North Shields has always been on my list of "must-visit" destinations. There's something incredibly enchanting about this town, with its history steeped in maritime heritage, its vibrant art scene, and its oh-so-delicious fish and chips (I had a particularly dreamy cod and chips at a quaint little cafe by the harbour earlier). But what truly captured my heart was the unique blend of modern and traditional, of bustling streets filled with vintage boutiques and galleries, yet also maintaining a genuine, old-fashioned charm.

Speaking of charm, have you ever seen a more gorgeous shade of cyan than the one adorning my tutu? It's almost like the ocean itself has come to life, swirling with turquoise and blue hues. I couldn't resist pairing it with a simple white blouse and some comfy flats, allowing the vibrant colour to take centre stage.

I may have come here for the quaint charm and the captivating coastal scenery, but the real star of this adventure is my beautiful tutu. Honestly, there's no other way to feel confident and empowered than in a twirly, twirly skirt of tulle and glitter.

Just a little bit about how I got here! The journey was, of course, a magical one, I couldn’t face the dreaded motorway and a flight was a little too far, so what was left but a charming old-fashioned train journey from Derbyshire? You’ve guessed it – first class with a lovely book and a steaming hot cup of tea, and of course a very fashionable, tutu-clad lady in seat 27! Just call me a 21st Century Princess of the Rails.

We've explored the charming harbour area with its brightly coloured boats bobbing gently on the waves, and the imposing North Shields Fish Quay with its historical significance and bustling atmosphere. You could practically smell the sea salt in the air and the freshly caught fish! Oh, and a quick trip to a vintage clothing store to find a little souvenir. You just have to appreciate the treasures you can find at these places! Not the perfect outfit for a ballerina?

So far, my North Shields adventures have been filled with laughter, stunning scenery, and the undeniable thrill of twirling around in a glorious, vibrant tutu. As I write this blog post, my tutu is perched delicately on the back of a vintage chair, a constant reminder of the sheer joy of being here and living my best life.

Now, it's time to indulge in some more of that delectable fish and chips and take in the sights of this captivating coastal town. The evening promises a breathtaking sunset over the North Sea, and I just can't wait to see the colours paint the sky with hues of pink, orange, and yellow, mirroring the very colours of my tutu!

Follow me, darlings, as I embark on a journey of discovering more of North Shields' wonders, with my trusty tutu in tow. Maybe you’ll see me, twirling around in a cloud of cyan, spreading my message of pink-tutu joy across the nation! Remember, the world needs a little more sparkle, a little more grace, a little more twirling!

And hey, why not join the pink tutu revolution? Get yourself a fabulous tutu and unleash the ballerina within! You might just be surprised at what you find inside. We could dance the night away together at one of our regular tutu meet-ups! I post them on my website, of course - www.pink-tutu.com – come join our pink-tutu club.

Love,

Emma
