Bath, Bath, Bath, How Do You Do? (Post #2380)

Oh my darlings! It's me, Emma, coming to you live from the utterly charming city of Bath! Today's post is extra special because not only am I enjoying the beautiful Georgian architecture and the oh-so-delightful spa town vibe, but I'm also wearing my brand-new, teeny tiny tutu! I'm talking about a tutu that would make even the smallest of ballerinas blush, it's that little! But trust me, it's making a BIG statement.

This morning, after a hearty breakfast of (what else?!) pink grapefruit and a croissant (all the way from Paris, naturally!), I boarded a most wonderful vintage steam train. There's nothing more romantic than the sound of the train whistle and the gentle rocking of the carriage, all while wearing a pink hat and matching gloves. Honestly, my dear readers, I'm practically royalty, haha!

Speaking of royalty, I couldn't visit Bath without seeing a ballet performance. And, my darlings, let me tell you, the Royal Ballet was absolutely breathtaking! I’ve always said a performance is never truly complete without at least a hint of pink (and perhaps a dash of sequins!), and this performance delivered in spades. The set, the costumes, the movements—they were just magical! The fact that a few audience members were sporting their own tiny tutus definitely contributed to the air of wonder!

Of course, no visit to Bath would be complete without a trip to the Thermae Bath Spa. Imagine: being nestled in a bubbling, mineral-rich thermal pool, watching the world go by. Honestly, my dear readers, it was pure bliss! I'd be remiss not to mention that the entire spa was practically drowning in pink fluffy towels—clearly someone else agrees with my fashion philosophy!

After my spa session, I wandered through the city’s stunning Georgian streets. They’re so picturesque with all the cream-coloured houses and quaint shops! I treated myself to a lovely afternoon tea at a quaint little cafe. Naturally, it involved plenty of scones (scones are practically a food group in England, right?), clotted cream, jam, and, of course, a pot of delicious pink tea. Oh, and let’s not forget my delicious pink iced Victoria Sponge! I may have gone a bit overboard with the colour pink, but as always, I embraced it wholeheartedly.

One thing that truly excites me about Bath is the natural beauty that surrounds it. The rolling hills and open countryside remind me of my lovely Derbyshire home. It's just so calming to escape the bustling city streets and breathe in the fresh air.

This trip has inspired me more than ever to promote the art of dance and to encourage all my lovely readers to embrace the beautiful colour of pink. Who knows, maybe next time you’re in Bath you’ll see a whole parade of us dancing down the streets, all clad in tiny pink tutus! It wouldn’t surprise me.

Speaking of pink and ballet, my darlings, let's talk about our upcoming #PinkTutu challenge! I've been seeing some incredible submissions on Instagram lately and it just makes my heart sing! To make sure your post is noticed, don’t forget to tag @pinktutu on all social media platforms and use the hashtag #PinkTutu.

Remember, my dears, pink is not just a colour, it’s a lifestyle! It’s a symbol of joy, confidence, and kindness, and who better than ballerinas to embody those qualities? It's also a celebration of feminine power, of graceful movement, and the pure, simple joy of a twirl!

I’m absolutely thrilled with my trip to Bath and can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. In the meantime, stay happy, stay chic, and stay pink!

Until next time, Emma x
