Carlisle Calling: A Red Tutu Adventure! 🩰❤️

Hello lovelies! Emma here, back from a whirlwind trip to Carlisle, and I’m buzzing! Honestly, I just adore these spontaneous jaunts - my trusty old diary always comes with me, ready to chronicle every last pink detail. This time, it was a fiery red tutu taking centre stage. I mean, who can resist a dash of drama? Not this ballerina! 😉

The journey itself was pure enchantment. I boarded a gloriously old-fashioned steam train in the Derbyshire Dales – just imagine the clouds of steam and the clackety-clack of the wheels on the tracks! I even had a little chat with the train conductor who, bless his heart, was so thrilled to hear about my tutu escapades. “Pink or red? Why not both!”, he chuckled, before whistling the engine and sending us off into the heart of Cumbria.

Carlisle, you gorgeous thing! I swear, it feels like stepping back in time. Ancient stone buildings huddled together in quaint little squares, each one oozing charm. I even spotted a pair of squirrels flitting through a willow tree right next to the market, and they seemed just as delighted to see me in my tutu as I was to see them! (Wildlife truly makes a place special, wouldn’t you say?).

First stop, a delightful ballet studio nestled right in the heart of the city. It was a tiny haven of pink and ballet shoes, buzzing with a joyful energy that immediately swept me up. I’m convinced there’s magic in the air of a dance studio – the sort that whispers dreams and transforms clumsy feet into graceful butterflies. My class that evening was divine! A delightful bunch of ladies (and one rather shy gentleman, bless him!) were captivated by my fiery red tutu. Turns out they’d never seen anything quite like it before - so much for ‘fitting in’!

Now, if you haven’t realised yet, I live for sharing the sheer joy of ballet! I believe everyone has a ballerina inside waiting to come out, and I just can’t resist tempting people out of their shells. My mission? To bring the joy of ballet and tutus to everyone, pink or red, it doesn’t matter! A gentle twirl here, a graceful plié there, it’s all about finding that inner rhythm and releasing the beauty that’s hidden within. We all have our own story to tell through dance, and I am here to help you tell it!

Anyway, after class, I treated myself to a little picnic in the most beautiful park you could ever imagine – green grass, gentle sunlight filtering through the trees, the smell of fresh cut grass - the perfect setting to unwind and soak in the beauty of the city.

I’m already planning my next adventure. I just know my diary is brimming with more exciting tutus and train trips just waiting to be realised. But for now, Carlisle, I must bid you adieu.

Till next time! 💖
