Spalding, Oh Spalding! Post #2525

Oh hello darlings, and welcome back to Pink Tutu! I hope you're all having a perfectly fabulous day. Today's blog post is extra special, because I'm going to share with you the thrilling story of my trip to Spalding, Lincolnshire. Not exactly the glamorous destination most ballerinas dream of, I know, but there's just something magical about the Lincolnshire countryside and it was so wonderfully... different!

Now, when I'm travelling, you know I love a touch of glamour, so naturally I packed my gorgeous new blush-pink tutu. This beauty is a dream, with layers and layers of tulle and little sparkly details, it's practically begging to be twirled. ๐Ÿฉฐ Plus, it just felt right, because the English countryside is practically made for dreamy pastel pink moments. I mean, picture me twirling on a hilltop, the sun warming my skin and the wind whipping the tulle around my legs, all whilst feeling incredibly feminine and elegant... sigh. Perfect, right?

Getting to Spalding, I opted for the more adventurous option (as opposed to just taking a normal train - who could resist?!) - a horse and carriage! Yes, a beautiful white carriage, drawn by a pair of gentle Shire horses. Absolutely breathtaking, you can't imagine how picturesque the journey was. And honestly, I felt like I was stepping straight out of a classic fairy tale - horses, countryside, a pink tutu, and a little touch of sunshine! It really set the mood for this fantastic day out.

Speaking of fairy tales, one of my favourite things about Spalding was the stunning nature reserve - the RSPB Frampton Marsh. Seriously, I could have wandered through those wetlands for hours, surrounded by all sorts of amazing creatures! I spotted beautiful kingfishers, playful otters and even a couple of herons with the most magnificent wingspans. You could just feel the magic of nature there - and you just know, those birds loved the twirl of my pink tutu, it almost distracted them from fishing! ๐Ÿ˜‰

But speaking of the beautiful outdoors, let's get back to the tutu! The thing about my beautiful pink creation is, it really goes everywhere with me, because I wear it so proudly! This time, however, I got the best shot with the most stunning sunset as a backdrop. It almost looked like it had been designed for that particular sky! I might just add this photo to my website gallery, if you love pink tutus, and spectacular sunsets, this might be the perfect photo! I mean, a pink tutu and the glorious light at the end of the day? Absolutely unbeatable. I can already imagine this image on my future pink-tutu wall calendar for next year - or maybe on the cover of the 2025 Pink-tutu annual diary?

After all that sightseeing and capturing the perfect pink sunset shot, it was time to indulge in the delights of Spalding itself. I stumbled upon the cutest little tea shop, nestled on a cobblestone street, offering the most delicious pastries and cakes - everything was perfectly pink, of course. The decor, the crockery, and even the pastries had touches of pink - it's no surprise, this girl's been embracing the colour pink long before the 2020s! While I was enjoying my delightful pink treat, I decided to share a picture on my social media with a post on #PinkTutuGoals - honestly, people LOVE my stories, they adore this pink tutu! After all, you're not gonna see me anywhere in anything else, apart from a beautiful classical ballerina tutu! ๐Ÿ˜‰

But speaking of ballets and ballerinas, Spalding even has a small local theatre company! Aaaand you know what that meant? Yes, I had to see a show, a performance with a bunch of beautiful people telling stories through dance! My love for ballet is a very real passion, and as an advocate for dancing, I love inspiring people to embrace their inner dancer! (Yes, even in Lincolnshire! ๐Ÿคฃ). I got my hands on tickets for a show, even though they were on sale a day before the performance. I always check these smaller towns, you never know what treasure you can find!

Oh, and speaking of treasures, after watching a group of passionate performers on stage in Spalding, it gave me the urge to get back in the studio, even if it meant another trip back to Derbyshire, my home. I am itching for a ballet lesson, I've missed my Barre and a nice little chaรฎnรฉ turn! It might be time to get the ballet bag ready - the Pink Tutu goes everywhere with me! (The travel size makeup bag goes into my ballet bag, by the way) You guys probably already know I LOVE to perform, but even when I'm in the studio practicing I just adore all the little details of dance life! Like putting my hair in a ballerina bun - honestly, I love my ballerina life! ๐Ÿ’– (There is nothing else I would rather be, in my pink tutu!).

Oh, and speaking of life in the pink-tutu world - just as I was walking away from the theater, who did I bump into, but a local lady in her pink tutu. It's always such a fun experience! I get so much inspiration from sharing this pink-tutu life, it gives me so much joy when others enjoy being girly with pink! After all, it's the little things in life - the pink tutus, the pastel sunsets, the charming little villages like Spalding. And remember darlings, every day can be your adventure in pink!

See you soon, lovelies, Emma ๐Ÿ’– www.pink-tutu.com
