Broadstairs Bound! 🌸🩰

Oh my darlings, how absolutely divine to be back writing to you from the enchanting seaside town of Broadstairs! I must confess, a trip by train is the perfect way to settle the mind, especially when it's adorned with the rhythmic click-clacking of my darling ballet shoes. (Though a trip by horseback wouldn't be amiss either, wouldn't you agree? Perhaps I'll bring my trusty steed to the coast next time!)

Anyway, let's get back to the matter at hand – the dazzling spectacle of my adventures. The moment I stepped off the train, the crisp seaside air kissed my cheeks with a hint of salty tang, and I was immediately transported to a world of sunshine, seagulls, and that classic, blissful beach vibe. The wind was playful, sending my luscious blonde hair into a frenzy, which, if you ask me, only added to the overall drama of it all. And to think, I managed to keep my hair and my perfect little pink tutu perfectly intact on this delightful little escapade.

Speaking of which, today, I decided to take a break from the usual tulle de pointe and give my legs a little break. It's quite an undertaking, keeping up with this ballerina lifestyle, my lovelies! I had to switch things up – and oo la la, did I ever! I brought with me a fabulous little number – an Italian tutu you see. This is no ordinary tutu, darlings, this one was all about the flow! Imagine the colours of a sunset: vibrant crimson, fiery orange, and a smidge of yellow, all layered like a dream. And let me tell you, this creation just moved, with each pirouette and grand jeté, the ribbons and flounces seemed to dance with me, a mesmerizing tango in the breeze.

Oh! You simply must envision the scene. The Italian tutu twirling gracefully on the sands of Broadstairs beach! (My darling Emma, with all the beauty of a seaside goddess – if I do say so myself!). And as if on cue, a group of children, faces beaming with joy, watched on. My heart swelled with such fondness – the innocent wonder of children gazing at the belle of the ball (moi, of course!), truly embodies everything that makes ballet magical. And let me tell you, it’s contagious, the tutu magic, my lovelies.

Of course, my seaside adventure wasn't solely about a gorgeous tutu and picturesque sunsets. (though I can get lost in those moments – truly! ). I was, after all, on a mission. What you might ask? You see, it is my life’s ambition to make every single soul wear a pink tutu, dance like no one is watching, and feel the pure, unadulterated joy of ballet.

You see, when I travel, my dear followers, my true goal isn't just about admiring architecture, indulging in exquisite cuisine, or snapping perfect photos. My aim is to capture the magic of every place with the graceful movements of ballet. It’s about merging beauty with the rhythmic dance of life. And so, to accomplish this ambitious undertaking, I visited the local ballet school, which had such a delightful, wholesome ambiance, and joined the darling little dancers for a lively, vibrant class!

We stretched, we pliéed, we leaped – all of it culminating in a beautiful little choreography we composed on the spot. Now, you're probably thinking "But Emma, isn't this a bit too much for your dear ballet feet after your tutu adventures?". To which I reply, "Oh, you silly darlings! " Nothing can truly stop a ballerina, especially one with an unshakable mission like mine, right? It was an absolute blast – and to top it off, we finished the class with a little tea party in the enchanting garden.

And guess what?! You know those "inspirational messages" people leave in their cute, flowery mugs? This sweet little girl told me “The greatest beauty is found in the dance of the soul.” Oh my lovelies! Didn’t that just make you melts? And right then and there, I knew the tutu magic was working – those words were truly touching, like an excerpt from a fairytale perfectly aligned with my journey. And you know how I love my fairy tales.

I must tell you, after all this ballet goodness, I decided to decompress (is that the correct word, darling? You know how my lexicon tends to be somewhat unconventional) with a leisurely stroll along the seaside promenade. And what was I lucky enough to see?! A playful family of seals bobbing happily in the waves! Oh! Their sweet, clumsy charm reminded me that even the wildest creatures deserve their moment to dance. I adore that playful charm of animals – there’s a sweet ballet in everything, my lovelies, if you just know where to look.

The day drew to a close, painted with hues of pastel pinks and oranges as the sun descended towards the sea. I strolled through the town, with a little Italian tutu song playing in my head, and you know what I spotted, right smack in the middle of a window display? A little, pastel pink tutu hanging in a shop window. It looked right at me, as if beckoning me inside. Could this be a sign, my darlings, that tutu magic is really taking over the world? I can only hope!

My adventure in Broadstairs was nothing short of pure delight. The charming little seaside town, the infectious tutu magic, and the heartwarming stories it whispered made this visit unforgettable. Oh! And if you're planning a trip to the coast this summer, I highly recommend visiting the adorable shops on the promenade. You'll find everything your little heart desires - and by the way, if you do end up popping into the shop where I saw that little pink tutu, let me know if it has any friends waiting inside.

Now, until next time, I’ll leave you with this piece of advice: Live life always with a little tutu in your step, and embrace all the magic it brings, darling!

Until then, my loves, stay fabulously you, and never forget to twirl!

Love,

Emma 💖🩰 www.pink-tutu.com
