Welling, Kent - Pink Tutu Post #3007

Hello, darlings! Emma here, back with another delightful dose of pink-tutu-tastic adventures! Today I’m in Welling, Kent, a little corner of the world I’d never visited before, and let me tell you, it's a true delight.

The journey down was pure magic, you know? It’s the kind of weather that makes you want to burst into song, a beautiful blue sky punctuated by fluffy white clouds, with the sun warming my face. And I did it in style, of course, by train! My latest tutu – a delightful vision in powder pink with swirls of champagne and the most gorgeous embroidered butterflies – fluttered in the breeze as I sped along. (The lady next to me, who looked slightly bemused by the whole thing, even admitted it was “lovely”). I can’t tell you how much I love train travel – there’s something so romantic and peaceful about it, don't you think? Plus, you get the chance to people watch, which is always a treat.

And now I'm in Welling, where my mission is, of course, to find a ballerina-worthy tea shop and spread the pink-tutu gospel! I'm not even sure if it has a proper name, darling, it's just a teeny tiny little shop with the most enchanting storefront I've ever seen, all decked out in lavender and white. They even have a little pink teacup as their logo. The lady who owns it is a darling herself, so kind and sweet, and her teas are divine. I'm currently enjoying a delicious pot of floral Earl Grey, paired with the most delightful miniature cakes adorned with, you guessed it, more pink! (Is it any surprise? The universe just loves pink, really.)

This town, Welling, reminds me a little of my childhood in Derbyshire. There's such a friendly, small-town feel, you know? Everyone greets each other with smiles, and it's filled with the charm of history. You know, it really makes you feel good, being surrounded by the beautiful countryside, away from the hustle and bustle of London.

And speaking of nature, Welling boasts a lovely little park, just a hop, skip, and a twirl away from the tea shop. I took my tutu for a whirl around the pond and it made me want to spin, twirl, and dance! I spotted a beautiful robin perched on a branch, he seemed as happy to see my tutu as I was! (Although maybe that was just wishful thinking.)

So, what else have I got in store for Welling? I've spotted a charming antique shop – imagine the treasure trove of tutus I might find there! I'm also going to indulge in a horse ride through the countryside, just like in those enchanting fairy tales. What's a better way to enjoy the scenery and let the wind whisper through your hair? Oh, the magic!

Of course, my adventure wouldn't be complete without some ballet-related fun, so later this afternoon, I’ll be popping over to the local theatre. They're showing a touring production of Swan Lake, and you can bet your bottom tutu I'll be sitting in the front row. Maybe I'll even whip out a pink-tutu-themed headpiece. It’s all in the name of spreading the pink tutu joy!

But more importantly, dear readers, I want to hear about your tutu adventures! Did you wear a pink tutu this week? Where are your favourite spots to take your tutus for a spin? Tell me everything!

Until next time, keep spinning and remember: every day is a chance to twirl into something fabulous!

Lots of love,

Emma xx
