Hey, my darling tutus! Welcome to Post #3012 of Pink Tutu! I hope this finds you all in good spirits and feeling as twirly as ever! 💖
It's been a while since I ventured beyond my Derbyshire stomping ground, but today I'm feeling the sea air calling. So, packing my little suitcase full of pink frocks and of course, a gorgeous crimson tutu, I hopped onto the train for a quick trip to the seaside. Cleethorpes here I come! 🚂
You know how much I love the seaside. It's the perfect blend of fresh air, fishy smells (don't judge me!), and endless opportunities for elegant poses on the pier! The sky is as big as the sea and as blue as my favourite ballerina shoes. This little seaside town with its amusement park, golden sand beaches, and traditional arcades reminded me so much of the childhood trips with my family. We'd be off on the fairground rides and enjoying ice-creams - I loved the smell of waffles - and playing arcade games with my little brother, hoping we'd win the massive cuddly prize. Good times, good times! I even took a ride on the old-fashioned dodgems, complete with a vintage feel - perfect for some 'bump-and-twirl' action! 🤣
After a yummy fish and chip lunch and some cheeky seaside trinket shopping, I made my way to Cleethorpes Pier. This elegant pier stretches far out into the sea. I had a good twirl with my tutu billowing in the breeze, even striking a pose for some admiring onlookers. One man even remarked "Lovely skirt!" – you can never go wrong with a bright red tutu on the beach, right?
My evening concluded with a captivating visit to the Cleethorpes Aquarium. My favourite bit? The playful otters and their playful, slippery nature – almost like watching some furry little ballerinas in action. Did you know that they love to perform graceful leaps and twirls as they hunt? Talk about tutu-tastic inspiration! ✨
This quick trip reminded me of the joys of simpler pleasures and how magical the world can be with a splash of colour, a twirl, and a positive attitude. Wherever you are, make sure to soak up every moment with a little bit of tutus, a touch of sparkle, and maybe even a playful otterly encounter! 🦦

And for you fashionistas, why not pop into a shop or two for some charming, kitschy beach wear – they even had pink beach hats and pink and yellow bucket and spade sets. And for the guys (though pink is not always my favorite colour) they do make some very funky beach shoes in an abundance of cool colours! I might be biased as my boyfriend's favourite colour is pink (lucky me!), and we did share a double-chocolate ice cream (he always knows how to sweeten my day!
