Pinner-ing for Pink: Post #3013

Hello my darlings! It's your favourite tutu-clad traveller, Emma, reporting live from the charming town of Pinner. The sun is shining, the birds are singing (well, I'm sure they would be if they were actually singing...), and I'm feeling rather pink-tastic, which is always a good thing, wouldn't you agree?

It's been a busy week! Last Monday I was swanning around Derbyshire in my cherry blossom pink tutu, getting my fix of fresh air and rambling across the Peak District. Honestly, there's something truly magical about Derbyshire. The countryside is so stunning, the air is so fresh, and the silence is almost deafening, which I love. I can always feel my soul becoming lighter as soon as I cross the Derbyshire border. And the best thing about a day in the Peak District? There's absolutely nothing better than pulling on a pair of comfy boots, putting on your favourite playlist, and simply walking, breathing, and absorbing the gorgeous landscape around you. You can even treat yourself to a traditional cream tea at the end of the walk – scones with jam and clotted cream, heaven!

On Tuesday, I took a little jaunt to a local ballet show – the annual Derbyshire Amateur Ballet’s rendition of Coppelia. Honestly, these young ladies (and gentleman!) put their hearts and souls into the performances, and it was simply beautiful to watch. Every year I find myself getting more and more emotional about these performances – the grace, the effort, the sheer dedication! Afterwards I had the absolute pleasure of having a cup of tea with some of the dancers and, I’ve got to say, I’m feeling inspired to find a dance class that offers adult beginners’ ballet courses. I’ve been considering it for a while and it really feels like the time has come.

Wednesday saw me venturing into the wild and wonderful world of the London Zoo. A dear friend was having a birthday picnic and I couldn't possibly have missed it! The Zoo was the perfect venue, of course. It always feels a bit like stepping back into time when you wander through those long Victorian archways. And let's be honest, who doesn’t love watching the fluffy baby animals? I have to confess, my heart belongs to the penguins! Those sleek black and white tuxedo-wearing little fellas melt my heart! And this trip has ignited a bit of a travel bug. I’m thinking perhaps I might try a safari somewhere warm and sunny? There’s a good chance you’ll see a new travelogue in a pink tutu on your feeds in the near future, I just need to decide on a destination!

On Thursday, I travelled to the glorious city of London by train, stopping in at the stunning St Pancras International for a quick pit-stop in a rather chic coffee shop. My journey to Pinner started from Euston, which means that it only took me half an hour! What a dream! As I looked out of the window I saw the sun peeking through the clouds and making the cityscape glimmer. I realised at that moment just how lucky we are to be in such a beautifully bustling part of the world.

Pinner, it turned out, is a delightful little corner of West London. Full of little shops, quirky cafes, and, best of all, a park! The perfect spot to unleash my inner ballerina. After lunch, I took my little black tutu for a twirl in the crisp autumn air. I even managed to snap a few photos, which I will post in a separate update, to add a bit of whimsy to your timeline.

Today, I am sitting here at a charming little coffee shop, enjoying a lovely chai latte and reflecting on all the wonders of the week. I truly love exploring new places, experiencing new things, and inspiring others to get out of their comfort zones. If my mission in life is to get everyone wearing pink tutus and doing ballet, then it’s going to be a beautiful journey!

My little advice for today: Step outside of your comfort zone! Take a risk. Embrace the unexpected. And maybe even wear a pink tutu, you never know, you just might love it!

Until tomorrow, stay pink, my lovelies!

Love,

Emma
