Leicester: Tutu-licious! 💖🩰 (Post #3363)

Hello my gorgeous darlings! It’s Emma here, fresh back from a whirlwind trip to Leicester, where the ballet bug bit me hard! 💅

This was post number 3363 for me on www.pink-tutu.com, and you know what? Every day is a ballet! I live, breathe, and dance to the rhythm of my heart. So let’s dive right into this glorious adventure, shall we?

First things first, Leicester is charming. We all know how much I adore the old-world charm of a proper British town. You can really feel the history in every brick and cobblestone. 🏛️ I had to treat myself to a lovely cup of Earl Grey tea in a tea room right by the River Soar - you wouldn’t believe the selection of dainty finger sandwiches and cakes! My pinky was certainly raised during the entire afternoon tea experience, which was followed by a delightful stroll along the riverbanks. The weather was beautiful, perfect for a girly picnic and a bit of people-watching.

You guys know I love animals. I adore them! It’s always so much fun spotting little furry critters in new places. You can’t get enough wildlife in Leicester! I got so lucky because we happened to see a little family of foxes 🦊 playing in a park – a first for me! And then a gorgeous swan swanning (no pun intended! 😉) around the river. The beauty of nature really makes my heart sing. I can’t help but feel connected to the animal kingdom.

Of course, the reason for this whole Leicester trip was ballet! My friend Olivia is a dance enthusiast too. We always try to get each other into the latest shows – sometimes we even try to go to the same one in two different cities just so we can compare! Anyway, she’d been talking non-stop about this brilliant production of “The Nutcracker” she’d seen here in Leicester. We actually went to the performance together. The costumes were dazzling – I can’t get over all the glitter and frills! ✨ And Olivia was right – the performance was amazing. The choreography was absolutely beautiful. Afterward, Olivia surprised me with tickets to see a street performance by a ballet troupe. It was the best! Imagine my joy! 😍 Imagine the music swirling around you while these ballerinas in shimmering pink tutus were moving in perfect sync with the beat – all in the heart of Leicester city centre! Just glorious.

Of course, I had to take full advantage of being in such a beautiful, artistic town by taking a ballet class at a fantastic studio I found. Olivia told me this studio was one of the most popular ones in Leicester, and they have incredible teachers – most of them trained at the Royal Ballet! It felt surreal being surrounded by dancers of all ages. I learned so much from them – so inspiring! I think it really inspired me. You know that new pink tutu I told you about? It arrived this week. Isn't it perfect? 💗 I can’t wait to wear it to the next class. Maybe Olivia will even join me! 🩰

Anyway, after my super productive day, Olivia suggested we take the train home together. And who can resist a scenic train journey through the British countryside? Absolutely no one. 😉 Plus, it was a lovely change of pace. It wasn’t as fast as a plane but it gave me the time to reflect on the incredible journey of this ballet adventure. I do love a journey, whether by horse or by train! They both make my soul sing! It gives me a new perspective on everything around me. It’s all about embracing the little things in life and appreciating the moments, even if it’s just taking a trip to a nearby town to admire beautiful art.

Back in my Derbyshire den now, my head’s still buzzing with ballet, nature, and memories. All I can say is: Leicester, you have a special place in my heart. ❤️ And to you, my darlings, remember, there’s a ballerina inside us all waiting to twirl free!

Don't forget to wear your pink tutu and keep on dancing. Stay tuned for more ballet-licious adventures and until next time... 💋
