Hello my darlings!
It’s your girl Emma here, signing in from the gloriously sunny shores of Worthing! I've been missing the coast for ages, and finally, the universe has granted my seaside wish! 🌊 Let me tell you, nothing says ‘pure bliss’ like a day filled with sea breeze, salty air, and a sprinkle of ballerina magic (in the form of a beautiful, white, billowing tutu, of course)!
Now, I know you’re all dying to know how I got here. This weekend, it wasn't the usual whizzing about in my beloved vintage Bentley – this time, the stars aligned and a charmingly-mustachioed gentleman swept me away on the 11:15 express to Brighton! 🚂 We rolled down the windows, felt the sun on our faces, and reveled in the vibrant Derbyshire countryside gliding past (missing my dear farm animals just a little!).
Brighton is like a beautiful dream, bursting with colour, culture, and quirky charm. And as soon as we got there, it was off to Brighton Pier! The smell of candy floss, the thrilling sounds of the carousel, and the vibrant sea views… truly magical! 🥰 It felt like stepping back in time - I can totally see myself waltzing on this pier with a prince charming!
Then it was off to explore the hidden wonders of Worthing – a coastal haven just a hop, skip, and a jump from Brighton. And let me tell you, the seafront was beyond breathtaking! Picture postcard perfect with a hint of retro charm – those charming old lampposts really tugged at my heartstrings! I could practically hear the nostalgic tinkling of the old-fashioned carousel tunes!
But Worthing held a hidden gem for this ballerina: The Connaught Theatre! It’s an intimate, adorable, art deco haven just waiting to be brought back to life. Imagine my glee when I saw they were hosting an open evening showcasing talented local dancers. Oh, it was truly a delight! Each dancer was so wonderfully expressive, so perfectly in tune with their music. The atmosphere was electrifying, a celebration of the beautiful art form that consumes my soul! 💖
This entire trip has been a symphony of sunshine, creativity, and pure, unadulterated fun. And to add to the sparkle, I even bumped into a fellow pink tutu-enthusiast! We exchanged the warmest smiles, shared our love of ballet and giggled about the ridiculousness of it all! Just goes to show – the tutu power knows no boundaries! ✨
I know some of you are thinking, “Emma, you can’t be serious! All that, and you were wearing a white tutu? What’s with the off-brand move?” Well, I’m glad you asked! This week was about a white tutu rebellion! Let's face it, pink has its place, but every now and then, the universe demands a bit of pure white elegance! 😇 Besides, white looks fantastic against a bright blue sky!
And remember my darlings, a white tutu holds just as much joy, magic, and liberation as a pink one! If you haven't yet experienced the exhilarating freedom of swirling in a white tutu by the seaside, you really must!
My dear loves, this trip has left my heart full. It's been a reminder that even in a world of deadlines, responsibilities, and routine, it’s important to take those spontaneous adventures, to embrace life's joyful moments with open arms. And trust me, my loves, a little pink – or white – tutu goes a long way in achieving that magic! ✨
