Spalding: A Tutu-tastic Day Out! πŸ’–πŸ©°

Post Number 3557

Hey darlings!

It's your favourite tutu-loving blogger, Emma, reporting live from… drumroll … Spalding! πŸš„ Yep, you heard that right. I hopped on the train this morning, fuelled by a massive pink iced bun, and headed off on an adventure. I'm always up for exploring new places, and Spalding has been calling to me for ages. I’m actually here for a special ballet workshop later today – more on that later! πŸ˜‰

As I usually do, I decked myself out in my most fabulous outfit: a beautiful powder-pink tutu with a hint of glitter, of course. πŸ’… My darling tutu – I just adore the European style with the layers and layers of tulle. It's all about that soft, airy movement that makes you feel like you're floating. Speaking of floating, the train journey itself was magical. The countryside views whizzing by were stunning. Honestly, nothing beats the rhythmic clack-clack-clack of the train on the tracks and that dreamy countryside scene drifting past the window! It’s like a free ballet performance of sorts!

Speaking of countryside scenes, have I mentioned that I'm a total wildlife nut? πŸ¦ŒπŸ‡ I can't resist stopping to watch birds on my travels, and even had a little chat with a family of bunnies at the station (okay, I mainly just gave them a pink tutu ribbon). It was precious. I truly believe animals can feel the power of a pink tutu, it really is like a magical accessory! πŸ’–

Arriving in Spalding, the sun was shining and a lovely warm breeze was blowing. It truly was a perfect ballet day. My first stop was to grab a bite at the cutest little cafΓ© in town, called "The Pink Flamingo". Everything, including the iced coffees, were a shade of pink. It was right up my alley! They even had a shelf stocked with all the latest pink tutu accessories, and guess what? I snagged the cutest, tiniest pink tutus that you can just imagine for the bunnies I saw at the station earlier. How could I resist?

After lunch, I took a walk through Spalding, taking in the history and charming shops. They actually had a gorgeous antique shop filled with tutus! I almost lost myself in the layers of tulle. The owner, a lovely woman called Mrs. Higgins, was absolutely delighted by my passion for pink and tutus. She even told me stories about her time as a ballet dancer in the 1950s – I was enthralled! She even insisted on giving me a pink-feathered feather boa she found – apparently she was also a huge fan of the colour!

Oh, did I mention I bought the cutest tiny pair of ballet shoes in pink glitter? It's like my outfit has been getting even better throughout the day! You know what else is exciting? This evening, I'm attending a special ballet workshop with a renowned choreographer! This workshop was what brought me to Spalding. The focus is all on European-style ballet. The highlight? We'll be learning a piece using some of my favourite tutus from the antique shop! You bet your sweet tutu that I'll be documenting the entire experience, from warming up to the final pose.

Speaking of dancing, I can't wait to share a sneak peek of my day with you all! Don't forget, I love seeing your tutu pictures. Tag #PinkTutu on your Instagram for a chance to be featured on my blog!

Right, darling! It's time for the ballet class. My heart is racing - so much tutu magic awaits. See you all tomorrow for an update on my tutu-tastic Spalding day!

Until next time,

Emma x
