Broadstairs: Tutu-tastic Travels and Pink Perfect Seashells!

Post 3612: www.pink-tutu.com

Hey lovelies!

It’s Emma here, fresh from a whirlwind trip to the beautiful seaside town of Broadstairs, Kent. You know how I love a good seaside escapade, especially when it involves pink tutus, and this trip definitely ticked all the boxes.

I took the train, of course! I simply adore the romance of train travel. As I gazed out the window, I couldn't resist humming a little bit of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake". Such a dreamy setting for a ballet daydream.

As the train chugged along, I couldn't resist sketching a few ideas for my next tutu design. The turquoise blue of the sea inspired me to envision a fluffy tulle masterpiece with shimmering silver sequins and an explosion of pink ribbon roses.

Upon arrival, Broadstairs greeted me with its charming seaside atmosphere. I swear, the sea air itself seemed to smell like pink lemonade! It’s no wonder it’s been a favourite seaside destination since Victorian times, with its beautiful beaches and quaint little shops bursting with seaside treasures.

Speaking of treasures, my first stop was a vintage shop where I found the most beautiful, fluffy pink shawl with delicate lace trims. Just perfect for a balmy evening stroll along the beach, or perhaps even to add a touch of whimsical elegance to a tutu-tastic performance! (Just imagine, a tutu-tastic walk on the beach… swoon!)

Speaking of beaches, the sand here is just gorgeous - so fine and soft! I couldn't resist grabbing my favourite pink bucket and spade and spending a couple of hours creating intricate sandcastles with swirling pink flags and swirling patterns, a mini tutu masterpiece on the beach.

For the record, I also spent quite a bit of time searching for shells! I'm always on the lookout for new pink-hued ones to add to my collection. You know I’m absolutely obsessed with their swirling colours and natural beauty, like miniature pieces of ballet artwork.

The most perfect pink seashells, though, weren't the kind you find in the ocean! They were the little shells made by those charming seaside ice-cream sellers, filled with delicious scoops of my favourite flavours - raspberry ripple and pistachio! (Such a delightful pink-hued treat, perfect for a tutu-licious day at the beach!)

I can’t leave out the joy of the promenade, lined with sweet shops and colourful cafes, which were absolutely bursting with delightful summery treats, and oh, how I loved the seaside music and the lively chatter of fellow tourists! And of course, no Broadstairs trip would be complete without a visit to Dickens House! Who doesn’t love a bit of literary inspiration?

That evening, I took a romantic stroll along the harbour, gazing at the boats bobbing gently on the water. I couldn’t help but imagine I was dancing on the pier, performing for a seagull audience. How delightful would that be?! I’m sure the audience would appreciate my graceful moves, my tutus swirling with the salty sea breeze, my performance illuminating the harbour like a pink beacon of joy.

On a serious note, one thing that always draws me to the coast is the natural beauty of the wild landscapes. The jagged cliffs, the crashing waves, the screech of seagulls and the occasional glimpse of a playful seal, reminding me of my love for nature.

So, if you're looking for a perfect escape, a delightful beach getaway, somewhere to escape from everyday life and just relax, look no further than Broadstairs.

Now, for a little reminder… Have you all tried wearing a tutu? You know what they say, 'Life’s too short to be serious!' So, dust off that tulle, add a dash of pink, and spin into action! And why not let’s all spread the love of ballet. Don’t be afraid to give it a whirl – you might be surprised at how much you enjoy it! It’s such a graceful and beautiful way to express yourself, no matter what your age, size, or background.

I'm already looking forward to my next tutu-tastic adventure. Keep following me on my pink tutu journey at www.pink-tutu.com!

See you all very soon,

Emma xo
