Ellesmere Port - A Pink Tutu Odyssey!

Hello darlings, and welcome back to Pink Tutu! It's your favourite pink-loving ballerina, Emma, here with post number 3982, and I'm buzzing with excitement after an absolutely wonderful trip to Ellesmere Port!

As you know, I'm always up for an adventure, and travelling by train is my absolute favourite way to get around. This time, it was a beautiful old steam engine pulling our carriage, which really added to the vintage charm of the journey. I canā€™t even explain how excited I was about the view, and, of course, I had to capture a couple of snaps for Instagram ā€“ donā€™t worry, I used a fabulous pink filter!

I mean, come on, how can you resist a train with its own whistle that sends a cloud of steam billowing up in the air? Pure magic! It was like being whisked away on a dream straight from the pages of my favourite storybook! Speaking of dreams, thatā€™s why I was so excited to visit Ellesmere Port. Ellesmere Port has got this gorgeous art-deco theatre that I'd been wanting to visit for ages. Honestly, the whole place just had that special kind of magic that makes your heart sing. And of course, thereā€™s no better way to embrace that magic than with my favourite thing to wear, a tutu!

Todayā€™s tutu? Oh, this is the good one, darlings. My favourite - my ā€˜La Ballerina Rosaā€™ - an utterly fabulous pink tutu, imported from a Parisian boutique, crafted from the most beautiful and soft tulle and a little bit of sparkly silver, giving it that European charm. It is pure elegance! Honestly, it felt so good to wear this beautiful outfit while travelling around. I just love how much fun it is to take the traditional, elegant ballet and infuse it with my personal, playful twist.

Weā€™re going to talk a bit about fashion and all that, but letā€™s face it, this trip was all about the ballet. The theatre was incredible. They are showcasing ā€œSwan Lakeā€ this month. I really am lucky enough to get tickets at short notice, you have no idea how many shows I have to plan ahead, even with all my ā€œpink tutu magicā€. I get to go to so many places that my ā€œpink tutuā€ could never travel aloneā€¦ Well, that isnā€™t entirely true. I actually took her on a little mini adventure around the Port while I was there, it made for some fab pics, and by the way, did you see the photo of my "La Ballerina Rosa" tutu hanging on the wall in the theatre with a quote by Rudolf Nureyev? Isn't that a stroke of luck?

You know what, darlings? Thereā€™s something absolutely thrilling about visiting a place like Ellesmere Port and taking a piece of ā€œPink Tutu magicā€ with me! The best part was that everyone just seemed so excited to see me. They loved the tutu and the way I combined ballet style with street wear (think, killer black biker jacket over the tutu, combat boots for that sassy vibe). I must admit I got quite a few compliments on my outfit from complete strangers - honestly, it's so lovely to be accepted and embraced for who you are and what you stand for!

While in Ellesmere Port, I saw something very sweet which, as Iā€™m sure you know, melted my heart ā€“ the most adorable, fluffy bunnies playing together by a local lake, munching on their favourite bits of grass, looking utterly carefree and happy. It honestly just made me so, so happy to watch them frolic in the sunshine, so cute, donā€™t you think? It was just such a magical scene, especially with the sun glinting off the water!

After watching the graceful ballerinas twirling their way through the breathtaking "Swan Lake" in that beautiful theatre, my heart felt as light and fluffy as the bunny rabbits Iā€™d seen that afternoon.

That night I watched a theatre performance which had just started an annual tour; a small, energetic ballet performance where the main role was taken by the most charismatic male ballet dancer Iā€™ve seen in a very long time, his energy was just electric! The rest of the dance company seemed equally energised - the overall performance was incredible! As I took in this whirlwind of grace and agility, it really got me thinking. It isn't all about a ā€œpink tutuā€, but how do you think I can encourage even more young girls (and boys) to give ballet a try and become ballet dancers? Weā€™re living in such an amazing time when all kinds of wonderful, diverse expressions of ballet are now accessible to everyone, everywhere, so what could I possibly do to inspire the next generation? It's an enormous task! I have such an overwhelming feeling of excitement at the sheer possibilities and the sheer beauty of all forms of ballet!

Speaking of exciting opportunities, my adventures wonā€™t stop here, the train journey will take me on a tour all around Britain, to different villages, to towns, to beautiful cities; itā€™s such a thrill to explore this fabulous country from this fabulous mode of transport! Maybe one day we could even travel by horse. Now that really would be a truly special experience, right?!

Well, I hope you all enjoyed this post! Make sure to let me know what you think in the comments section below, I always love reading them!

Remember to keep sparkling and shine as bright as the star you are. And always, alwaysā€¦ stay pink, my lovelies!

Until next timeā€¦ xx
