It’s Emma here, back with another fabulous blog post, this time straight from the beautiful town of Spalding in Lincolnshire!
Travelling in Style
I journeyed here on the train, of course – there's nothing quite like watching the world whizz by from the window, a good book in hand and a perfectly pink tutu rustling gently at my feet. I mean, what else would you wear for a day out like this? 😄 It really sets the mood for adventure, and trust me, Spalding is full of it!
Ballet by the Lincolnshire Fens
Today’s adventure involved, as you might have guessed, ballet! You wouldn’t believe the talent blooming in this corner of England. The Spalding Ballet School hosted a breathtaking performance – and of course, I was in the audience, perched on the edge of my seat in pure delight. The dancers were incredible – so much grace, strength and artistry. It was like watching the wind sweep across the Lincolnshire fens, captured in movement!
And wouldn't you know it, there I was, swept away by the power of dance once more! It’s not often you find a school like this, hidden away in the heart of the country, yet overflowing with talent. I’m really thinking of organizing a Tutu-themed day trip for all of you fabulous pink-tutu-wearing followers to see them perform next time. Wouldn't that be a dream?!
The Beauty of Lincolnshire
After the ballet, I went exploring! Spalding is a hidden gem - full of character and charm. The marketplace buzzed with energy, overflowing with fresh produce and local crafts. I even found the most gorgeous handmade knitted scarf - perfect for keeping warm during those cool autumn evenings.
And let’s not forget the wildlife! Lincolnshire is a haven for all sorts of critters, from majestic swans to chirpy robins. I caught a glimpse of a family of foxes frolicking in the evening sun – those little red foxes are just so cheeky! 🦊
Pink Tutu Dreams
Oh, and speaking of cheeky, I have a secret dream – wouldn’t it be incredible if we all donned pink tutus, hopped on a train, and explored the beautiful countryside together? Imagine the smiles, the laughter, and the sheer joy of ballet and friendship all in one delightful adventure.
