Shenley Brook End, A Purple Tutu & Me! 🩰✨

Hello lovelies!

It's Emma here, back with another day in my fabulous life! You'll be surprised to hear I haven't even got a pink tutu on today. I'm feeling bold and opted for a luscious purple number, but it still twirls with the same carefree joy, if I do say so myself. 😉

Now, as many of you know, I love travelling by train, so you can imagine my excitement as I hopped onto the early morning train, destination: Shenley Brook End! It's such a charming village tucked away in the English countryside. The train journey itself was breathtaking, especially as I was looking out at fields bursting with colour – imagine a tapestry of golden wheat, emerald green fields dotted with fluffy white sheep, and bursts of crimson poppies – pure magic!

Speaking of magic, guess what I spotted on my travels? A little fox cub playing with its mother in a field by the tracks! They were so adorable, a perfect example of nature's whimsy. It always brightens my day to see wild creatures. I think it's something magical, the way these creatures live wild and free.

And speaking of magic… I’m just off to a breathtaking performance of Swan Lake in Milton Keynes this evening. The beautiful venue is an old Victorian theatre and just walking through those big, grand wooden doors makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. I’m so excited to lose myself in the beauty of Tchaikovsky’s music, the drama of the story, and, of course, those stunning, elegant costumes! You know I have to share a few snaps on my Instagram story later - follow me @Emma_PinkTutu!

This journey wasn’t all about ballet and travel though - it’s actually all about sharing the love of this incredible art form! It’s just like those little fox cubs in the fields, reminding us of our connection to nature, our need to explore and discover something new and exciting.

And here’s where the story gets even more colourful...I went to visit an adorable little ballet school here called The Dance Academy. This school has the biggest heart, the brightest energy and it was an absolute delight to chat to their enthusiastic instructors, admire the sweet little ballerinas in their pink and purple tutus, and, of course, witness some incredible dancing!

Their whole studio was just bathed in this incredible energy! As I watched those children gracefully learning their steps and getting their first taste of a passion for dance, I couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of joy. It was truly heartwarming to see that spark of something incredible being ignited in those young faces.

For me, there is something truly special about how ballet inspires and empowers. It takes you out of your comfort zone, pushes you to explore your limits, and reminds you that even the most intricate movements can be born from pure joy and expression.

I’ll be honest with you, I still get butterflies before every class, every performance. That nervous anticipation is part of the fun, isn’t it? And you know, ballet isn’t just for professionals; It’s something anyone can enjoy.

Just like I always say, put on a pink tutu, find your inner dancer, and twirl away! Whether it’s at the Royal Opera House in London or a cozy local studio like The Dance Academy, let’s bring a little bit of ballet magic into everyone’s life!

You know, I think one day everyone will be twirling around in their pink tutus, spreading a bit of joy and dance wherever they go! Now, doesn’t that sound like a lovely thought? 💖

Until next time,

Love,

Emma
