Loughborough Calling! 🩰🌸 #TutuBlog Post 4243

Hello, lovelies! It's Emma here, your resident tutu-obsessed, pink-loving, ballet-mad blogger, back with another instalment of your favourite daily dose of all things twirling and twirly!

Today, I'm taking you on a journey to the charming town of Loughborough! Nestled in the heart of Leicestershire, this delightful place holds a special spot in my heart - and not just because it boasts an amazing vintage shop filled to the brim with divine pink dresses. No, my darlings, it's because I got to experience a true ballet haven there!

I love hopping on a train, you know? It feels so romantic and lets me truly soak in the countryside scenery, especially when those luscious green fields and gentle rolling hills unfold around me. A delightful escape from the hustle and bustle, you know? And I do say, the best views are often the ones we catch as we zoom through charming little towns - like Loughborough!

Now, you'll all be excited to know that my trusty steed (a beautiful chestnut mare, my dear friends) is getting a much-needed rest this time around, which means more train adventures for me! And the thought of it fills me with joy! It's almost as if every train journey I take is a prelude to some fabulous new dance adventure! Speaking of dance adventures, this week was a treat indeed.

You see, dear readers, the Loughborough Town Hall holds this marvellous space – a veritable sanctuary of dance – where I got to experience a most delightful ballet performance. The venue, nestled amongst charming historical streets, oozed a quaint elegance that quite charmed me.

And you won’t believe the colours, lovelies! The entire town hall was decorated in the most glorious shades of blush pink! It was almost as if Loughborough had whispered “Emma, we love pink just as much as you!”

This lovely ballet performance showcased a delightful group of young ballerinas who, I swear, just danced their little hearts out. It was magical, my dears, like a sprinkle of fairy dust landing on my soul! The grace, the precision, the absolute joy radiating from each and every pirouette, it truly filled me with a wonderful warmth.

They were dressed in costumes of shimmering blue and turquoise – a little bit of a break from the pinks that are normally the staples of my dance world, but oh so lovely. Those dazzling blues were almost electric on stage, it was truly something to behold! And you wouldn't believe the dazzling colours that their hair ribbons brought to their movements, especially the one tiny ballerina with a dazzling fuchsia hair ribbon – it matched my mood perfectly!

Oh, how I wish I could share these amazing moments with all of you. To witness their youthful enthusiasm, the sheer joy of their performance! That's what ballet does, you know. It unlocks the purest kind of happiness! It unlocks a beautiful energy that can uplift anyone!

And who could possibly resist a graceful pirouette? Oh, it brings me back to the beautiful and wild open spaces of Derbyshire! Do you know, I often see beautiful white horses, magnificent creatures they are, roaming through those lovely rolling hills - they're practically performing ballet for me as they graze! I try to capture their magic, you know? Through my paintings and photographs. The beauty of movement, that's what I try to capture - and sometimes, I even find myself twirling alongside them, or at least it feels that way! I can almost hear their whispers of, “Oh, Emma, we love pink, too!"

The beautiful countryside scenery is such a welcome change from the city, isn’t it? And sometimes, when I find myself back home, it feels like a huge open dance floor! But the urban landscape holds a charm of its own too. Sometimes, when I feel like putting on my ballet shoes and having a twirl, it’s the hustle and bustle of the city that calls to me – like a giant ballet show waiting for me to be its leading lady!

It's incredible how the energy of ballet permeates everywhere, even amidst the concrete jungles!

Speaking of city landscapes, this entire little journey took place thanks to the power of public transportation – which I simply adore!

What makes Loughborough truly unique though? The little gems that are sprinkled all around town! My oh my, did I fall head-over-heels for their little local coffee shops! They have the most divine latte art - it’s practically an art form itself! Imagine, you get this cup of beautiful coffee in hand, and a gorgeous swan floats gracefully on top of the coffee cream - it feels so elegant and so… ballerina-esque!

Speaking of which, they've got this truly charming bookshop – and it's absolutely stuffed with all sorts of amazing things! From vintage dance books with their beautiful illustrations to gorgeous pink floral prints – it was truly a ballet-themed paradise! And to top it all off? They had this fantastic book called “Ballet: The Dance of Dreams", a captivating tale filled with inspiring characters and the most magical choreography – it was practically whispering my name, you know? And after a whirlwind visit to that magnificent bookshop, I knew it simply had to be mine!

My dear friends, Loughborough is a delightful dance paradise! I fell head-over-heels for it and you should absolutely come for a visit and embrace all its loveliness! I mean, you never know – maybe you'll find your next inspiration to start your very own ballet journey here! It truly sparked a new fire within me, one that's urging me to wear my favourite tutu every single day, to dance under every star, and to let the rhythm of my life move to the magical tune of ballet. And I sincerely hope it does the same for you!

Now, tell me about your ballet adventures! Where is your favourite place to see a ballet? Have you found a secret haven for dance that I absolutely must see?

Oh, and be sure to tell me if you’ve finally found a pink tutu for yourself! You can get a glimpse of my everyday adventures and maybe even share your own by following my Instagram @pinktutu.

Now go out there and spread a little sparkle! And remember, it's never too late to let your inner ballerina bloom!

Until next time, my dear friends! 💖🩰

Emma
