TutuBlog #4244 - Barking Mad for Pink Tutus!

Hello darlings!

It’s your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing, ballet-obsessed gal, Emma, here, coming to you live from... well, right now, the comfy carriage of a lovely train hurtling me towards London town. It’s not quite a carriage-and-horses ride, but who’s complaining when you get to travel in such style? Plus, I have to say, the views from the window are absolutely breathtaking! So much green countryside rolling past, perfect for daydreaming about grand ballets and majestic horses in emerald forests. Speaking of horses, I did spot a whole herd of them grazing peacefully in a field earlier, and it almost made me want to trade my pink tutu for jodhpurs! (But don't worry, lovelies, that's only almost!)

This week has been all about the magic of ballet and, of course, some rather fabulous outfits (a tutu and a pair of riding boots would be a most intriguing look, don't you think?).

On Monday, I was lucky enough to catch a performance of Swan Lake at the Royal Opera House, and I just had to gush about it! It was everything a ballet should be – graceful, emotional, and full of dazzling skill. Seeing the swans gliding across the stage, their feathers fluttering, almost made me want to burst into a graceful pirouette myself! The colours of the costumes were just divine – think dusky blues and pristine whites, a stark contrast that beautifully reflected the good and evil in the story. It had me reaching for my own swan-like tulle tutu and practising some of my favourite moves in my living room later.

Speaking of moving, Wednesday saw me join the most brilliant ballet class in central London! It was such a delightful experience; I really do think everyone should give ballet a try! The sheer joy of moving to the music, stretching your body to its limits, and connecting with others who share the same passion - it's truly infectious! You can be sure I’ll be back next week. My muscles are a bit achy, but my soul feels utterly revived!

Oh, and did I tell you about my latest tutu discovery? Let's just say that a certain fashion store near Hyde Park is now stocked with the most amazing, pink-infused tutus. I mean, come on, pink is my absolute favourite! They've got them in a plethora of styles - short, fluffy, twirling, shimmering… even one with sparkly horses on it! They’ve already earned a permanent spot in my ever-expanding wardrobe (yes, my wardrobe IS getting rather out of hand).

And the best thing? I'm bringing a touch of this tutu magic to your doorstep! Today, I'm having a grand giveaway for one lucky Pink-Tutu follower - a tutu that will make you feel like a fairytale princess! All you need to do is leave a comment telling me what your favourite ballet is and why! I'm super excited to share this fabulousness with one of you lucky ladies.

This weekend is a whirlwind of ballet delights too. On Saturday, I’m catching a performance of Romeo & Juliet in a local theatre – I hear it's set in a gothic cathedral, which sounds like a dream come true for me! My darling bestie Emily will be there too, which means plenty of gossip, giggles and even more stunning tutu outfits! You've never seen such a sight as two twenty-something women in a symphony of pink! We may just steal the show!

On Sunday, I’m planning to swap the stage lights for some countryside charm. My old Derbyshire haunts are calling me – I’m picturing walks along the Derbyshire Dales, enjoying the beauty of the nature reserves and watching the horses in the fields. (And maybe trying out that pink tutu with the horse print.)

So, darling readers, until next time, remember to embrace the pink! Let your inner tutu shine and dance your heart out. And, as always, remember, the best kind of fashion statement is the one that expresses your truest self. And mine just happens to be a dazzling, swirling, pink tutu!

Much love, Emma xx
