Waterlooville Calling! #4745 🩰💖

Oh my darlings,

It’s Emma here, your pink-tutu-loving, ballet-obsessed friend, and I’m absolutely bubbling over with excitement! You know I adore travelling and sharing my adventures with you, so hold onto your tutus – because today’s journey is going to be a wild ride!

I’ve been itching for a trip away for weeks. Derbyshire is lovely, but sometimes I just crave a change of scenery – and what better way to do it than with a ballet-inspired adventure? My train tickets to Waterlooville were booked in a flash, and I packed my trusty travel tutu – you can never be too prepared, right? 😉

But first, let's chat about this magical location. Waterlooville is such a quirky little gem. It’s not as grand as London or as bustling as Birmingham, but that's part of its charm. I've been wanting to see the Victorian Market since I first saw it in a travel magazine, and the shops are like a whimsical wonderland, all tucked away like a secret haven. The old architecture, cobblestone streets, and a whiff of history in the air - it’s all so incredibly romantic!

And you know me, darling, I'm all about spreading the pink-tutu-love wherever I go! So I whipped up a bright pink, glittery tutu and matching ballet flats, topped off with a little pink fascinator - a nod to the flamboyant Waterlooville charm! And I tell you what, it caused quite a stir. Everywhere I went, heads turned. People smiled, complimented my style, and I even got a couple of compliments on my twirls. It’s like I'm carrying a little bit of the magic of ballet everywhere I go.

You can’t come to Waterlooville without a proper ballet outing. After a spot of afternoon tea at the cutest vintage tea room, complete with lace tablecloths and delicate pastries, I sashayed over to the Waterlooville Arts Centre. There was this fantastic show with a troupe of incredibly talented young dancers – they were absolutely spectacular, showcasing a range of classical ballet techniques, contemporary routines, and a truly innovative performance that even had the crowd on their feet!

As soon as the final bow was taken, I sprinted to the stage door, buzzing with enthusiasm and the thrill of watching these incredible dancers. You see, I just adore meeting new artists, and sharing my passion for ballet. To my absolute delight, I even snagged a picture with a charming young dancer – he was such a natural performer. We talked for ages about technique, practice, and how his dream was to bring classical ballet to new audiences.

Let’s just say that Waterlooville already feels like a little piece of home. Everyone has been so welcoming, friendly, and kind. Plus, there’s this delightful wildlife park nearby with adorable deer and cheeky monkeys - the highlight for me was seeing a family of ducks with their fluffy ducklings, just paddling along serenely. It’s been a real whirlwind of a journey, a testament to the beauty of discovering new places and sharing the pink-tutu magic.

The train back to Derbyshire tomorrow might be a bit of a bittersweet ride, but it’ll give me time to catch up on my emails, post a few more pictures from this magical adventure (because who could resist posting about such fabulous moments?!), and prepare for another new ballet adventure. The world of dance, you see, is always waiting for its next chapter. I'll keep you posted on my next move, darlings. Stay beautiful, stay happy, and maybe wear a pink tutu just for fun. I dare you! 💖

Until next time, Emma x

P.S. I'll be posting some sneak peeks of my trip on my Instagram (you can find me @emmapinktutu) – I’d love to see your pink tutu looks too!
