Loughborough Calling! (Post #4759) 🩰💖

Hey everyone, it’s Emma here, your pink-tutu-clad gal from Derbyshire, and guess what?! I’m in Loughborough, and boy, oh boy, it's a real fairytale of a day! I think I’m on a bit of a roll with the travelling, but what’s better than exploring new places and showing you my latest pink-tutu adventures?

I know you guys are going to love hearing about it, and believe me, the photos will be divine. I know what you're thinking: "Emma, darling, did you really take your orange tutu with you?" 😜 Yes, yes, I did. Let's face it, every ballerina needs an array of tutus in their wardrobe! I’m embracing the boldness of a statement colour; a bold statement about colour. A little Orange you could say… get it? Haha.

Now, you know I adore train journeys – the swaying carriage, the clattering rhythm, it feels like you're gliding, which in turn is my own way of doing a mini-barre before I’ve even arrived. Then, there's the chance to see all those beautiful fields and trees rushing by… I even saw a pheasant, bless its feathery heart. Talk about feeling close to nature! 😉 So romantic.

Speaking of romantic, I’ve got a lovely date booked with the Royal Ballet! I've just secured my spot for tonight's show at the Loughborough Town Hall – it’s The Sleeping Beauty!! I’m buzzing! Did you know Loughborough was home to the very first ‘people’s palace’?! Talk about history! It's a fascinating piece of architecture. I can't wait to soak it all in. And obviously, I'll be getting that post-show review out tomorrow - it wouldn’t be the Pink-Tutu without it, would it? You know I'll have that special Emma spin on it, full of my personal musings!

And let's not forget what Loughborough has to offer! They've got all those beautiful lakes and nature reserves – I just had to grab a photo with a graceful swan, it was the ultimate picture for Instagram, right? We are kindred spirits after all. I was thinking of trying my hand at some rowing too, a little bit of on-the-water pirouette - imagine the glamour! Although my legs are already getting tired just thinking about it, I must admit… It wouldn’t be a visit without a little exercise – you know me and those lunges!

But my real mission, you guys, is this: I'm planning to unleash a ballet flashmob on Loughborough. It’s happening tomorrow morning by the clock tower, at precisely 10.30! Anyone who wants to join, all are welcome! Just pop on a pink tutu (you know I have spares! My friends just call me the Pink Tutu Fairy, although I'm a bit dubious about wearing wings – maybe not over the orange tutu. I think I’ve overdone it a bit. 😉) and bring your dancing shoes! 🩰 We'll have fun learning a routine, maybe some little ballet street inspired moves, and then surprise the locals with a burst of beautiful choreography. Can you imagine the scene?! My goal is to show Loughborough how awesome ballet is! Who needs to take up the local ‘Strictly’ class when you can get swept away with ballet!

And you know, this isn’t just a flashmob, it's a pink-tutu revolution. If one pink-clad ballerina can visit Loughborough and get the whole town swaying, just think of the ripple effect! We can spread this pink tutu energy everywhere – Derbyshire, all across England, across the world! I truly believe everyone could be dancing.

One day, everyone in the world will be twirling in their very own pink tutu, I promise you. This isn’t just a dream. We are in this together! You've gotta trust me! We can make it happen, guys! We're going to start a worldwide movement: “Wear a tutu! Do ballet!” It's time to give in to your inner ballerina and embrace the wonder! 💖

Stay tuned for my Loughborough Pink Tutu Update post coming later this week! 😉

Don't forget to leave a comment! What would you like to see in the ballet flashmob? Maybe some tutus with wings?! 🤫🤫🤫

Until then, keep twirling!

Emma x
