Fleet, My Favourite Food Tutu! 🩰🍓🍔🍟

Hello my darlings! 👋 It's Emma here, and it's been a simply delightful day in Fleet, Hampshire. This is blog post number 5064 (I know, I'm a blogging machine! 😜), and you're all just in time for a delicious story… literally!

Because, as you've probably guessed from the title, today's all about food. You've got your classic ballet and pink combo, but today we're spicing it up with some culinary flair. That's right, my dears! It was all about the Food Tutu. 🥗🍎

As I’m sure you’re all aware, there’s something so captivating about the theatre. I get that nervous thrill that comes with watching professional ballerinas work their magic – it always blows my mind, from the perfectly sculpted leaps to the delicate grace. So, naturally, today, I’ve been to see the “Romeo and Juliet” at the Fleet Arts Theatre – simply magical, my loves! It really makes you yearn to get back in the studio and perfect your pirouettes. And for a girl from Derbyshire who lives and breathes ballet, it’s absolutely the perfect day out. 💖

But before the theatre, I indulged in my most favourite way to travel; by horse, of course! Fleet is just a little too far for my faithful horse, Poppy, to take me in one trip, so it's usually the train that does the heavy lifting. However, I’m sure you’ll agree, that the journey really adds to the glamour. Riding by the rolling green hills of the English countryside with the warm spring sun on your face just doesn't compare to any train, even the swanky, new express lines. 😌

So, back to the Food Tutu…

My outfit, oh my darlings, was a masterpiece. Now, normally, I'd choose a fluffy, delicate pink tutu. Something airy and flowing that speaks to the pure beauty of dance. But today was special, and this called for a tutu that was both delicious and stunning!

It was a pink cupcake masterpiece, with frosting so white and fluffy it rivaled the swan lake. There were cherries, and sprinkles, and even some cheeky little mini cupcakes hanging from the bottom. Talk about edible elegance! 🧁🍒 Of course, it wouldn’t be a Food Tutu if it weren't adorned with tiny chocolate, jelly and fruit shaped ballerina ornaments (just look at how creative I am!). Don't even get me started on the strawberry earrings… the envy of every ballet-loving girl, I'm telling you!🍓✨

My darling readers, it really did turn heads! People couldn't resist staring, and it certainly caused a few gasps. And you know what? Every time someone said something, it was just pure, joyful joy. 💖 It really made everyone’s day.

Because really, that's the thing about wearing a pink tutu, isn’t it? It’s not just about looking pretty, though of course, it's always lovely to feel beautiful. It's about spreading smiles. It’s about expressing yourself with utter confidence. And frankly, in a world that often feels serious, grey, and mundane, isn't a dash of joy just what we all need? 💖

As for the ballet performance, well, it was magnificent, darling! The story of love and tragedy came alive before my eyes with all the skill, grace and emotion I'd come to expect from these amazing ballerinas. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they were using their magical footwork to secretly cast a little bit of fairy dust into the theatre because I felt totally transported!✨

It wouldn’t be a trip to Fleet without a visit to one of my absolute favourite places… a little independent deli, filled to the brim with beautiful cheese, wines, olives, and even some fabulous local chutneys. There was just enough time to grab a little treat after the ballet performance (we are all about that ballet lifestyle, right?). After a delicious brie and pickle sandwich, followed by a fresh apple (that I’m sure my friend, the squirrel in the garden back at my flat, would appreciate) we settled back into a warm, comfortable train carriage and relaxed on our way back home.

That’s my life my darling… ballet, pink, travel and a generous sprinkle of food (and lots of adorable animal friends along the way!).

But you’ll just have to stay tuned tomorrow, darling, as there’s a special, extra, wonderful adventure planned... but you’ll just have to wait and see! 💖

And in the meantime, as always… I challenge you all to find your pink tutu – be it in clothes, an accessory, a bold statement of your personality, or simply by spreading smiles with your lovely self! 🥰

Until tomorrow, darlings!

Emma xoxo
