Newtownards - Tutu Travels Post #5129

Oh my darling tutu lovers, are you ready for another delightful adventure?

This time, I’ve hopped on a train, yes, a train! A long journey to Northern Ireland to be precise! The scenery was quite delightful; I just love a good train journey.

Now, before you imagine me being all prim and proper, nestled in a first-class carriage, let me tell you this: I love an open carriage window, the wind whipping through my hair, feeling the breeze! This isn't some glamorous Parisian train experience. It’s about the journey!

So, as I gaze out the window, what’s in the distance? A lovely sight, of course - a flock of geese grazing in the lush fields. Now I think that is a truly delightful sight! Don't you think it is lovely how wildlife still seems so untouched by the hustle and bustle of city life?

And with the passing of these fields and woods, what does my train travel companion involve? Well, none other than my darling pink tutu! It’s always packed safely, a companion to be pulled out to celebrate an exciting destination!

The Pink Tutu Diaries of Emma:

Okay, I’ve finally arrived in Newtownards! This beautiful coastal town is nestled in County Down, and it's absolutely charming!

The first thing that hits me? The beautiful seaside views, oh darling! So calming. But let's get to the real reason for my journey. It’s a visit to the renowned Northern Ballet School - one of my absolute favourite schools in all of the UK!

What is there to see in this haven for dancers? I'm feeling incredibly inspired, so inspired I could pirouette to the moon and back! (That is, if I was strong enough to hold it!)

This is a lovely little town that has captured my heart, a place full of history, art, and oh, a lovely pink ballet shop tucked away down a little cobbled alleyway! Don't you just adore little pink stores, all bursting with girly ballet-ness? This one just had the best pink tutus you have ever seen.

I had to try on the white tutu for this lovely day. I know it’s not the traditional pink choice, but sometimes a ballet dancer must think outside of the box. Besides, white evokes feelings of purity, new beginnings - the feeling that one gets when they are first discovering ballet!

Speaking of the discovery of ballet, it’s time to head for the lovely Northern Ballet School. Yes, it's time for the most beautiful, breathtaking sight in the entire world - the barre!

What do you do at a ballet school? I hear you ask. Well, the first thing one does is take off the shoes and find the bar. I don't mind being bare-footed. But first, what to do with those beautiful ballet slippers? I've had this amazing thought:

A beautiful balle ballerina should never, ever have to throw their beautiful ballet shoes in the bin. So the pink tutu diaries propose that ballet schools invest in pink tutu-shaped ballet shoe holders. Yes, just like a shoe tree!

This should go onto my to-do list, don't you think?

It's no wonder I spend all my spare time exploring the most gorgeous ballet schools in the whole wide world. The Northern Ballet School doesn't disappoint! The beautiful, soaring high ceilings of the studios, the incredible dedication of the teachers! It's just delightful!

After watching the gorgeous students stretch, plie, tendu and arabesque to the rhythm of Tchaikovsky, I’m feeling pretty motivated to give it a whirl myself. I know, I know I don't quite have the strength in my muscles yet but just look at the graceful movements of the dancers as their bodies twist and turn with every gesture. It is like a flowing river, it is magical! There’s nothing more uplifting!

* Ballet Everywhere! *

There are moments when ballet comes alive - a flash of light, a sense of magic and I want everyone to have this experience. There are so many wonderful performances and opportunities for everybody. You can have your own little adventure; It just takes a single step to find your own amazing world. You don’t need a pink tutu, (although it's definitely preferable!). I know we need a real Tutu Movement to get the world dancing!

* Ballet Inspiration on the Road*

The afternoon has flown by, but not before I stumbled upon a breathtaking performance - and oh what a story. The dancers were incredible - each turn, leap, and extension brought the narrative of Swan Lake to life! And then it happened… the music - my heart skipped a beat! A perfect swan lake soundtrack.

Oh, I really feel at one with my world when I can watch an outstanding dance. Ballet really takes you on an adventure. It transports you to another time and place, fills you with pure emotion, and helps you find those little bursts of pure joy we all need in our lives! It's everything and more!

So, this is just the beginning, darling tutu lovers! This little trip is only one tiny part of this fabulous journey - my adventures continue to inspire. My plan for my travels: The ballet will never cease! The travels will never stop and the tutu will never be abandoned - oh darling - don’t we love a little tutu-wearing!

Let's Keep Dancing!

Remember darling tutu lovers! Life is a dance - a joyous pirouette through moments both grand and small. Let your pink tutu be a beacon - a symbol of joy, strength, and beauty, and go forth, dance with all your heart and let it inspire the world!

*Don’t forget to pop back tomorrow for another little pink tutu journey! See you soon on the Pink Tutu website - www.pink-tutu.com. It’s all about sharing the joy! *

xx
