Kendal Calling! (Post #5130)

Hey lovelies!

It's Emma here, fresh from a whirlwind weekend at the beautiful Kendal Calling festival in the Lake District, and oh my, what a blast it was!

You all know I'm a girl who loves a good adventure, and this festival definitely ticked all the boxes. Combining the vibrant energy of music, art, and performance with the stunning natural beauty of the Cumbrian countryside, it was truly an unforgettable experience.

A Dash of Pink in the Lakes

Of course, I couldn't resist incorporating a little pink into my festival attire. My go-to outfit for the occasion was a fabulously vibrant hot pink crop top with a tiered skirt that twirled effortlessly in the wind โ€“ perfect for busting some moves to the live music.

And then, of course, there was the tutu! It wouldn't be an Emma outing without one! I went for a lilac-hued number with soft tulle and layers that made me feel like a whimsical fairy floating through the festival crowds.

From Dance Floors to Deer Parks

While music festivals aren't known for their balletic flair, Kendal Calling truly embraced all forms of art, so naturally, my ballet heart felt right at home.

The festival boasted a "Dancin' Zone" with an impressive line-up of DJs spinning energetic tracks and performers pulling off gravity-defying dance routines. It felt a bit like a cross between a street dance battle and a theatrical performance, which is basically my dream world!

I even had a go at some improvisational dancing, whipping up a small crowd of fellow festival-goers for a spontaneous flash mob to "Dancing Queen" โ€“ what can I say, sometimes you just need to break out your best moves!

Wildlife Wonders

A trip to the Lakes wouldn't be complete without a spot of wildlife spotting, and luckily for me, the festival site boasted stunning woodland walks nestled amidst the festival grounds.

One sunny afternoon, I stumbled upon a picturesque meadow teeming with deer โ€“ just so adorable! I had to resist the urge to leap in for a cuddle but settled for admiring their elegance from afar (and capturing a few snaps for Insta, of course).

Taking It Back to Basics

While Kendal Calling provided an exciting blend of music, art, and nature, my favourite moment was probably returning to my little pink tent after a long day of revelry and feeling that genuine sense of adventure and joy.

It was like being transported back to those childhood camping trips, sharing stories under the starry sky and waking to the sweet scent of dew on the grass. I suppose you can never really escape the little girl inside, even when wearing a sparkly pink tutu at a music festival.

So, to wrap up, Kendal Calling was the perfect combination of fun, frivolity, and pure joy, and a perfect excuse for me to unleash my inner pink tutu princess.

The whole experience had me feeling positively inspired and reminded me of the simple pleasure of just living, laughing, and expressing yourself. After all, that's what it's all about, isn't it?

Stay tuned for my next adventure โ€“ it just might involve some more tutus and definitely a train journey (nothing beats the countryside rolling past the window).

And as always, remember to keep dancing and to spread a little pink joy wherever you go!

Sending love and twirls,

Emma xx
