Bridgwater Bound in a Pancake Tutu - Post 5585!

Oh darling, you wouldn't believe the whirlwind week I've had! After a gloriously sunny week in Derbyshire (that's where I'm from, for you new readers!), I packed my bags for a little adventure to Bridgwater.

You see, my lovelies, I've always had a thing for the West Country. There's just something about the rugged beauty of the coast, the charm of the villages, and the oh-so-delicious clotted cream that makes me weak at the knees. And this time, my reason for venturing to these parts was truly delightful - the Bridgwater Carnival!

Now, if you're thinking this is just your typical carnival, think again! This is a HUGE deal, like a whole festival of floats, costumes, music, and pure excitement. Honestly, it's enough to make even the most jaded heart skip a beat. And what did I choose to wear for this extravaganza, you ask? Well, why, a glorious pancake tutu, of course!

Yes, darling, you heard me right! It wasn't just any ordinary tutu; this one was inspired by the most scrumptious stacks of pancakes, with layers of fluffy tulle and a sprinkling of sparkly details that made me feel like a fairytale princess. Let's just say that I had heads turning and little ones cheering - it was truly a sight to behold.

And wouldn't you know it, I was lucky enough to catch the eye of a lovely chap who happened to be a photographer for the local newspaper! I'm still giggling at the thought of that lovely article they wrote, with a picture of me looking like a sweet treat myself.

Of course, a trip to Bridgwater wouldn't be complete without a visit to the local bakery. I absolutely devoured a delicious cream tea with scones the size of my head! They even had clotted cream piled high on top - oh, the ecstasy! I swear, you haven't lived until you've experienced the heavenly combination of clotted cream, warm scones, and a piping hot cup of tea.

And then, because my heart always craves a bit of dancing, I took a ballet class at the charming Bridgwater Ballet School. It was just what I needed after a long day of carnival fun. Honestly, you should see the tutus they have there - they were absolutely fabulous! I might have just purchased one or two myself... oops! ๐Ÿ˜‰

The train ride back home was equally enjoyable. Nothing beats the rhythmic sway of the carriage as you watch the scenery pass by. And don't even get me started on the delicious warm Cornish pasties I enjoyed! Oh, those heavenly savoury delights!

I've always said, there's something magical about exploring a new place in a tutu. You get to see the world with a bit more sparkle and wonder. It really helps me embrace that childlike sense of joy that we often lose as adults.

So, darlings, as always, I encourage you to put on your best tutu, no matter where you are! Life's too short for dull outfits and dreary days. Embrace the colour, the movement, and the sheer fun of it all.

Remember, if you want to share your adventures in a tutu, send me a picture on Twitter, or tag me on Instagram with the hashtag #TutuTravels. I can't wait to see what magical adventures you're having!

Stay fabulous,

Emma
