Frome Frolics in a Deluxe Leotard! 🩰

Hello my lovelies! 👋 It's Emma here, writing to you from a quaint little town called Frome in Somerset. As usual, I'm travelling in style – I couldn't resist taking the train, feeling the gentle rocking motion and watching the countryside flit by. 🚂

This week's been a whirl of activity, darling! Firstly, I got my hands on the most fabulous new leotard, oh my, it's truly divine! I just HAD to show it off! (See the pic, don't you just adore the sparkle?! ✨ )

I always say a girl can never have too many leotards! And this one's definitely a keeper. The fabric feels like a dream – all silky smooth, and that blush pink hue is just pure perfection! You'll have to take my word for it - the picture just doesn't do it justice. It was so delightful that it almost felt like cheating, a sneaky bit of girly extravagance to start my trip off right! 😉

After arriving at Frome, I decided to check out a charming little ballet studio, Frome Ballet School. What a gem! They held the most fantastic class, such a joy to get my body moving again, and I just knew it had to be captured for you lovely lot! You’ll see the photos in the gallery, there were some really lovely dancers in there too! Even had a chat with a couple of the pupils who are just starting out, their enthusiasm is infectious and reminded me of how much I love this beautiful dance form. 🩰

As a good old Derbyshire lass, a horse is another mode of transportation that gets me all giddy! You won't believe what I found later that day – a beautiful, calm little horse named 'Pinky'. 🦄 He had a perfect rosy glow about him, almost as if he was meant for this pink tutu-loving blogger! Naturally, I couldn't resist a picture opportunity - it made me wonder if horses could join in on a 'Pink Tutu Movement', could they be a tutu-tastic horse ballet troupe? 😂 I’m already planning out the perfect costume and I am dying to see that image come to life, it’s just such a whimsical, playful idea.

And then, darling, the most wonderful thing happened! That night, a grand, old-fashioned theater just a stone’s throw away from the train station was hosting a breathtaking ballet production - Swan Lake! I’d been wanting to see it for ages! It felt like destiny had brought us all together! The dance, the costumes, the music...it just swept me away! Oh my goodness, the music alone brought tears to my eyes – pure emotion. And the dancers, oh the grace and power! ✨

You’ll never believe it, there was even a little girl in the front row of the audience who was completely entranced. The passion in her eyes for ballet was just something I truly understood. The little darling was mesmerized, her eyes filled with so much wonder - I’d almost forgotten how beautiful it was to witness ballet with that level of pure joy and wonder. It made me even more passionate about my aim to get everyone in a pink tutu, dancing away to their hearts’ content! Wouldn't that be a beautiful world?! 💕🩰

As you all know, I can’t visit a place without visiting a few of their wildlife spots, too! So of course I went to explore the wild landscapes around Frome and took my lovelies in tow for a delightful photo opportunity, too! We took a lovely walk along a river, watched the birds flutter among the trees, even spotted a very sleepy little squirrel hiding in the branches, it was the most precious thing! And I thought about my very own ‘Pink Tutu Movement’! Imagine all these little squirrels in fluffy pink tutus doing ballet jumps across the woodland floor!

So many of you have said that ‘pink tutus’ and ‘ballet’ aren't really ‘your thing’… you wouldn't want to join the ‘Pink Tutu Movement’, you don’t even understand why it’s even a ‘thing’! Well darling, all I can say is…come on! Why wouldn’t you want to be part of a group that is full of joy and playfulness, creativity and pure girly glamour? 😉

I think my ‘Pink Tutu Movement’ is making a real difference though, little by little, I’m seeing more people try it. My instagram and facebook feeds are popping up with the most creative Pink Tutu shots, all different styles, from street ballet to full-on fancy tutus! More importantly, so many new people are now taking a class, finding their confidence, their own creative movement! There’s a real sense of belonging within the ‘Pink Tutu Movement’, I see joyful faces and positive energy blossoming all over the place, that is what it’s all about darling! I feel like we are actually making a difference to people’s lives and it fills my heart with sunshine. ✨💖

Now I am signing off, as I need to catch the next train to get back home and write another blog post about my latest pink tutu find. The colour? Why pink of course! 😉 Keep those Pink Tutu smiles coming, lovelies!

Sending love, Emma xx
