Coulsdon Calling! (Post #5665) 🩰💕

Oh, my darlings! I hope you're all feeling fabulously fabulous today, just like me! My pink tutu is practically vibrating with excitement as I sit here, back at the lovely little cottage my Mum and Dad have in Derbyshire (they think I'm mad for it, but it's just SO cosy!).

But enough about that! I'm just back from a totally delightful trip to Coulsdon, and oh, let me tell you, the town was practically singing my name! Not literally, obviously, but it did feel a bit like that, like everything was made for a girl who just loves twirling in a cyan tutu. (Just think: sky blue, but so much more elegant!)

My journey started like a fairytale: a graceful ride on the train, that majestic choo-choo noise and the rhythmically ticking wheels... like a conductor leading me right into the heart of Coulsdon!

And the journey was only just the beginning, my darlings! Once I was in Coulsdon, I stumbled upon a wildlife sanctuary! Oh, it was amazing, all these beautiful creatures - I’ve even got some gorgeous pics of me with a majestic deer. I thought it might get a bit awkward to take photos with a wild deer at first, but he didn't mind, probably because of the allure of the tutu! Who doesn’t want to be friends with someone in a sparkly tutu, honestly? 😉

I can’t leave Coulsdon without mentioning the incredible ballet studio I discovered there! Honestly, it felt like a dream. Beautiful barres, plush floors…and guess what? I snagged a fab class where the teacher actually complimented my moves! It was such a lovely surprise, you wouldn't believe it. The whole studio seemed to be echoing with pink and sparkling!

As much as I'm feeling all girly-glam with my cyan tutu and fabulous time in Coulsdon, I'm also remembering why I love ballet. I’ve realised, it's not about perfecting your plié or landing that perfect fouetté (although that’s fab!). It’s about that magic, that grace, that freedom, and that joy it brings – it's like stepping onto a whole new world and you never want to come back.

The whole day had such a “let’s-put-on-a-show” kind of feel to it – and that’s my aim in life! For everyone to dance like no one’s watching!

Even the locals seemed to be getting into it. I mean, they all were so genuinely warm and welcoming, like the locals knew exactly who I was - or who I would be one day. I don't think there's a person in Coulsdon who wasn't smiling at me. The tutus truly do have that kind of magic, you know? 😉

So, I’m sending you all big, fat pink hugs from my cottage, hoping you’ve been wearing your tutus with pride! Because a world filled with tutus is the only way I want to see the world. Maybe I should organise a trip for everyone to Coulsdon?! Just imagine: we could all take a ride on a vintage train (a few of them do pop up in Coulsdon!), enjoy some fabulous street shows (we could make some ourselves, maybe I'll start writing some music!), go to the best ballet studio in the area… what do you say? Coulsdon is calling us all!

Stay tuned, darlings. Next up, I'm planning on visiting... a very special theatre in Bristol. Who knows what adventures await? You can always find out about my travels on www.pink-tutu.com! Until next time, keep dancing, my lovelies!

Love, Emma xx 💕💖

P.S. I saw a group of pigeons in Coulsdon, you know. And guess what? I'm almost convinced I heard one of them chirping "Tutu time, everyone!". Don't you just love the universe when it wants to encourage you? It’s like the birds are practically dancing along with me! 😜🐦
