Oxford Calling: Tutu Adventures & A Feather Frenzy! 🩰🌸

Post #5706 | www.pink-tutu.com | 16th February 2012

Good morning, my dearest Tutu-holics! β˜€οΈ It's a glorious Friday, and Emma here is positively brimming with excitement, because guess what?! This girl's off to Oxford! πŸš‚ You know how much I love exploring the UK, and Oxford has always held a special place in my heart – cobbled streets, grand colleges, and whispers of literary genius. Honestly, what more could a girl ask for? 😍

But it wouldn't be an Emma adventure without a touch of… well, pink! πŸ˜‰ This trip wouldn't be complete without my favourite feather tutu! I found this absolute beauty at a vintage shop in Derbyshire last month – think soft, blush pink tulle with delicate, feather accents cascading down the skirt. It's almost too pretty to be worn, but when I put it on, I feel like I can actually fly! ✨

Speaking of flying, let me tell you, getting to Oxford by train is always an adventure! πŸš„ It's a chance to gaze at the changing countryside – green fields turning into rolling hills, the gentle curves of the River Thames, and quaint villages that just beg to be explored. Honestly, there's nothing quite like the feeling of the train tracks humming beneath you, the rhythmic click-clack of the wheels, and the warm glow of the afternoon sun as it spills across the carriage. 😌

And speaking of carriages, there’s a special part of me that still longs for the days of horse-drawn carriages! 🐎 I'm just smitten with the elegant click-clack of their hooves, the gentle sway of the vehicle, and the feeling of being swept away to some fantastical fairytale world. ✨ Now that's what I call a proper entrance, don't you think?

Oh, I nearly forgot – I'm off to see a ballet performance tonight! It's Giselle at the Sheldonian Theatre – an absolutely breathtaking masterpiece of Romantic ballet! 😍 You know I can never resist a chance to witness the sheer talent and grace of dancers bringing these classic stories to life on stage. It's always a pure joy! And of course, my little pink tutu is coming along for the ride. πŸ˜‰

Ballet and Wildlife - My Perfect Pairing:

This little break is about much more than tutus and ballet though – Oxford has some truly enchanting wildlife. I'm absolutely mad about all sorts of creatures, from cheeky squirrels and friendly ducks to elegant swans gliding serenely along the river. There’s a calmness that comes over me when I’m surrounded by nature. It’s the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of city life. ✨

Did you know, my favourite place to see wildlife is in the Peak District back home in Derbyshire? There are stunning hikes up through woodland and heather, and even waterfalls! And if I'm lucky, I might even spot a fox or a badger! The perfect escape into nature. 🦊🦑

Pink Tutu Philosophy:

Right now, my brain is buzzing with all the plans for my Oxford adventure. But one thing is always at the forefront of my mind – to spread the love of ballet, and pink tutus, of course! 🌸 🩰

Here’s a thought to ponder my Tutu-holics: *What if we all wore pink tutus to express our inner joy? * What if we took those dancing steps and embraced the grace, beauty, and fun that lies within each and every one of us?

Why stop at tutus, I say! Why not go the whole way? Let's make the world a more colourful place, one pirouette at a time! ✨

This is the essence of the Pink-Tutu philosophy – a life lived with passion, style, and a whole lot of twirling. πŸ˜‰

And remember, darlings, whether you're wearing a pink tutu or not, there’s always something beautiful waiting to be discovered, and a ballet class or performance around the corner!

Sending you lots of love and tutu kisses,

Emma
