Harrow, Darling! #TutuBlog 5707

Oh, hello lovelies! It’s your girl, Emma, from the peak district of Derbyshire, reporting live from Harrow. It feels absolutely glorious to be back in London town, especially when you’re armed with a new tutu that screams “pink paradise” and smells faintly of gingerbread! Yes, you read that right. Gingerbread. You’ll see why soon enough…

This week has been a whirlwind of twirling, travelling, and tons of tutus. Honestly, my life is just one big pink pirouette. I was even thinking about starting a campaign to get everyone wearing pink tutus, just to inject a bit of whimsical joy into the world. Imagine walking down Oxford Street, everyone a vision in tulle and sparkles! What a beautiful daydream!

Anyway, back to my journey!

This week's adventure started on a gorgeous bright morning, right after breakfast. My dear Auntie Brenda gave me a hand whipping up a batch of delicious gingerbread – just for my special tutu! She's the best, Auntie Brenda. Such a baker! My heart does little bunny hops whenever I think about it. Anyway, after we wrapped up that yummy project, I grabbed my luggage and skipped on down to the local train station, which just happens to be quite close to our Derbyshire home. As a Derbyshire girl born and raised, I adore nothing more than a countryside train journey! That calming rumble, the beautiful green hills flitting past – pure magic.

Of course, the tutu took up prime real estate on the train seat beside me. My other worldly friend was so jealous, but tutus just have this magnetic charm about them, right? You can't resist a beautiful swirling piece of tulle! As if the tutu wasn’t enough, the trip was punctuated by sightings of playful deer frolicking by the track, all grace and soft movement. So romantic, darling!

I have to say, nothing quite gets the endorphins flowing like a journey by train. You truly feel like a glamorous ballerina in an enchanting film – especially when you’re wearing a breathtakingly pink tutu. Honestly, there's no better feeling in the world, is there?

Now, I know what you’re thinking… what is the link between pink, tutus and gingerbread? Well, I am a firm believer that all good things should be connected! Let me explain. My little gingerbread heart started pumping as I saw a quirky gingerbread shop nestled on the bustling streets of Harrow. "Harrow Gingerbread Heaven" it proclaimed with a big grin, which, in itself, made me feel all warm and fuzzy!

Inside, it was an absolute gingerbread paradise. The aroma was truly intoxicating! Honestly, it smelled like fairyland, a perfect blend of sweet gingerbread and holiday cheer! They had so much deliciousness. There was gingerbread galore: from little gingerbread men wearing tutus (I was so excited!), gingerbread cakes, and my personal favorite – gorgeous gingerbread decorations with delicate, pastel pink sugar-coated designs. They'd clearly gone all out with a touch of fairy dust magic!

It wouldn’t have been right to visit this beautiful place without bringing home some delicious treasures, so I got a little gingerbread man (with a pink tutu!) and the most glorious gingerbread heart cake.

Oh, the best part was that this amazing shop held a delightful ballet class right in the back room. That's how the tutu came into play. I decided to combine a spot of afternoon tea (a pink cupcake of course!) and some sweet dance steps. You know, a graceful movement-fuelled moment. Honestly, how could I say no to the call of the tutu!

The class was such a beautiful blast from the past, I was flying! And the best part? You can’t go wrong with a pink cupcake while your toes are en pointe, and the delicate scent of gingerbread wafting around you! It was truly an experience I’ll never forget.

After all that dancing and indulging, I made my way back to my adorable, whimsical little hotel in Harrow. It’s so kitsch and perfectly in tune with my heart’s desire: soft pinks and tulle accents galore! This evening, I plan to wear my most beautiful, sparkling tutu to watch the wonderful Ballet Theatre performance here. I've heard nothing but amazing things about it. Ballet, especially at a location like this – what’s not to love!

And of course, darling, I'll be reporting all about it tomorrow. So stay tuned for all the details – pink promises galore!

In the meantime, let’s celebrate everything about life, because I’m off to get a bit of rest for tonight’s ballet! I'll see you back here tomorrow, darling, ready to get my glitter on!
