Yeovil, You Beauty! #5818

Oh my goodness, darlings, you wouldn't believe what a whirlwind this past week has been! I absolutely flew down to the glorious town of Yeovil (did I tell you how much I love train journeys? So romantic!), where I had the most delightful performance at the Octagon Theatre. I felt like I was practically levitating, surrounded by such wonderful, enthusiastic people!

But first, the outfit, obviously! I just had to go with a pink, fluffy tutu this time. You know how much I adore pink, and it just felt perfect for this sunny little town. It twirled so beautifully under the theatre lights, almost like a little cloud! It's such a lovely feeling to get dressed up like a ballerina princess - I always feel like I'm ready to dance the night away! And the performance itself was, of course, spectacular. It's just so incredible to see ballet come to life on stage, and I was just as mesmerised as the audience. Honestly, the energy was contagious! You just can't help but want to leap out of your seat and twirl along.

Speaking of leaping, the Octagon Theatre has got to be one of the most charming venues I've performed in. It felt so intimate and welcoming, with a real buzz about the place. It was packed out, everyone from seasoned ballet aficionados to giggling youngsters, and they were all just soaking it all in. The applause after the final curtain was deafening - such an amazing feeling!

Afterwards, I was treated to a delightful post-show supper at a tiny Italian restaurant near the theatre. The food was divine - I couldn't resist trying their pasta with pink sauce! And, of course, the best part was the gelato afterwards. Pink pistachio, of course - my favourite! It was so dreamy, I actually caught a couple of other guests watching me twirl my gelato spoon around while we chatted - it felt a little silly, but honestly, who could resist?!

Now, a little about my adventures in Yeovil itself! Did I mention how much I love a good countryside jaunt? So after my performance, I spent the next day exploring this charming little town. I stumbled upon a truly amazing little antique shop with the most wonderful array of porcelain dolls dressed in, you guessed it, pink tutus! I just had to get one, even though my suitcase was practically bursting. You can never have too many tutus!

But it wasn't just all about pink and twirling, although those things are pretty fantastic. Yeovil also has a hidden gem - a lovely wildlife park just outside town. It was so peaceful and tranquil there, surrounded by babbling brooks, ancient trees, and lots of friendly furry animals! There was a particularly fluffy fox I just had to make friends with - he looked like he would be happy wearing a tiny tutu, wouldn't he?!

I've really fallen for the beauty of Yeovil, even though I've been so busy with the performance and my exploring! But, as always, I know it's time to head back to my little haven in Derbyshire. A hot bath with my lavender scented bath bombs, followed by a night of Ballet TV and a plate of warm chocolate chip cookies - ahh, blissful!

Of course, I can't leave without saying a big "Thank you" to the wonderful people of Yeovil, the talented Octagon Theatre team, and all my loyal readers who follow my adventures.
