Chichester Calling: A Pink Tutu Adventure in the Wild!

Post Number 5896

Hello lovelies! It's your favourite Derbyshire darling, Emma, and I'm bursting with excitement to tell you about my latest tutu-tastic escapade! This time, I found myself whisked away to the charming seaside town of Chichester, a haven for art and culture, and a secret hideaway for animal lovers like myself!

It all began with a cheeky hop on the train - nothing quite beats the romance of watching the English countryside whiz by. As soon as I arrived, I could feel the seaside air on my cheeks and the promise of adventure. I was instantly in love!

Chichester Calling

This gorgeous city has so much to offer! With its historic cobblestone streets, the stunning Chichester Cathedral, and a charming mix of independent boutiques and cafes, I was absolutely spoilt for choice. And, let's not forget the theatre! You guys know I'm a bit of a theatre nut. This weekend, I took in a phenomenal performance at the Chichester Festival Theatre - pure magic! I had goosebumps throughout, the costumes were absolutely divine, and I even saw a glimpse of the magnificent 'Lord of the Rings' stage production in the theatre! How divine!

Nature Calling

But my Chichester adventure didn't end there. I wanted to experience the beautiful Sussex countryside, so I hopped on a trusty horse (I mean, who could resist?) and went exploring. It was absolutely breath-taking - rolling hills, lush green fields, and a breathtaking view of the sea. And the wildlife! Let's just say it was the most incredible nature walk I've had in ages.

I stumbled upon a gorgeous little haven - a haven for both the feathered and furry creatures. This charming, family-friendly centre has rescued birds and small animals that need a loving hand. It’s a place of absolute wonder with parrots talking to you as you enter and even a few wild owls taking flight as I strolled around! The adorable otter pups were my favourite though, I could have watched them play and swim in their beautiful pond for hours. And it all ties in so well with the overall theme of my trip, as it's also a place that cares deeply about sustainability and animal welfare, which is very close to my heart!

A Touch of Tutu Magic

And, of course, no adventure of mine is complete without a touch of Tutu Magic. For my nature-themed trip, I chose a leotard designed by my dear friend Sophie - it was a beautiful mix of earthy tones, floral accents, and, you guessed it, a hint of pink! You've got to love a splash of colour in the great outdoors. Sophie is a wonderful talent and has become quite a dear friend of mine over the last year, we both share a love of pink and love making a difference with what we do in the world!

So, here's the thing – I am seriously considering starting my very own line of Pink Tutu Inspired Animal Rescue Shirts - what do you think?! Imagine pink tutus for everyone (yes, even our furry friends!). You could even have your furry friend in matching tutus – I’ve been having some amazing conversations about creating beautiful ballet inspired clothes and gear for our pets - we'd have the perfect picture, right? Let me know what you think in the comments below!

A Call for More Pink and Tutu!

It’s been another wonderful adventure for my pink-tutu heart, filled with culture, wildlife, and some serious ballet inspiration! So what’s next for Emma’s pink tutu travels? Oh, you can be sure the adventure will continue – next week I’m heading off on a little “pony-express” trip up the north of England. Maybe we could find ourselves a tutu-tastic wildlife festival?!

But the most important thing is, I hope this inspires you to embrace the wonder of life! Be it a day trip to a beautiful theatre, or an afternoon in nature, don’t be afraid to wear a pink tutu and get involved! Let me know about your travel adventures in the comments!

Love,

Emma xoxo
