Bournville Bound in a Bubblegum Blush Tutu: Post #6178

Hey darlings!

It's Emma here, your resident tutu-tastic adventurer, back with another sparkly entry from the world of pink and plies. Today's destination? Bournville, Birmingham! And let me tell you, my tutu-loving heart is fluttering with excitement!

This trip has a special charm to it - we're talking vintage railway carriages and a quaint English village vibe. But before I get swept away in the nostalgia, let's rewind to my morning ritual...

A Ballet-Themed Breakfast with a Twist

Who needs cereal when you can have a ballerina breakfast? Think: pink grapefruit halves for a twirling sunrise, a yoghurt parfait topped with granola (because we need our energy, darlings!) and a generous dollop of strawberry jam - it's like a tiny edible tutu, wouldn't you agree?

Fashion Forward for Bournville

Now, you know me - a little pink is never enough! So, my Bournville look was all about the colour, naturally. A beautiful blush-coloured tutu (oh, I'm weak for that bubblegum shade) and a pristine white blouse were the star players, and I topped it off with my trusty ballet flats (because comfort is key, even when travelling in style!).

Chuff Chuff... To Bournville

For this adventure, I opted for the most delightful mode of transport: the railway! Stepping onto a vintage carriage, all mahogany and polished brass, felt like travelling back in time. Plus, nothing beats the calming rhythm of the train and the dreamy landscape drifting by. My secret for the perfect train journey? A pink tote bag overflowing with my ballet essentials, of course. Because who can resist a quick plié on a carriage seat? 😉

Exploring the Charm of Bournville

Bournville itself is a true delight, a beautifully preserved village with a heritage rooted in chocolate! Imagine cobbled streets lined with adorable houses with overflowing flower boxes. Oh, and don't forget the chocolaty aroma drifting through the air...pure heaven!

A Little Ballet Inspiration at The Cadbury World

Of course, no trip to Bournville would be complete without a visit to Cadbury World. Honestly, this place is like Willy Wonka's factory meets a chocolate wonderland! From a fascinating look at Cadbury's history to thrilling rides and delicious treats, this was a truly immersive experience. My favourite part? The whimsical chocolate sculpture of a ballerina - pure ballet inspiration!

Pink Tutu Dreams & a Ballet Show

The evening was spent in a dreamy blur of ballet and laughter. I slipped into a stunningly glamorous pink tutu for a beautiful show at Birmingham Hippodrome - my heart just about exploded with joy! There's nothing like witnessing a talented troupe of ballerinas gracing the stage with such grace and power. It fills me with inspiration, reminding me why I love this art form so much.

Nighty-Night in a Pink Tutu-Filled Bubble

Back at my little hotel, I tucked myself into bed wearing a soft, rose-hued sleep mask (because even in slumber, pink rules!) Dreaming of sugar plum fairies, leaping ballerinas, and pink tutus, naturally.

Final Thoughts... And a Tutu Challenge

My trip to Bournville was a truly enchanting adventure! I’m already planning my next tutu-filled escape, but this time I'm thinking… Paris, perhaps?

Speaking of tutu escapades, I challenge you all to embrace your inner ballerina this week! Put on your favourite pink tutu, maybe do a little plié, and remember, life's too short for boring outfits and ordinary days.

Until next time, darlings!

Stay sparkly, Emma xx
