Hove, Hove, Hove! (Post 6253)

Hello darlings! Emma here, ready to whisk you off to the seaside on this sunny August day.

Today, I'm waltzing through Hove in a fabulously fluffy black tutu, paired with a gorgeous pastel pink crop top, obviously! I know, I know, breaking my pink tutu tradition. But sometimes, a girl needs a touch of gothic grace, wouldn't you agree?

The journey down from Derbyshire was delightful - train journeys always fill me with inspiration. I took a window seat and scribbled down my thoughts in my notebook, while the fields flew past like a kaleidoscope of green and gold. Oh, the simple joys!

Hove itself is like a breath of fresh seaside air. I was charmed by the pastel-coloured beach huts, all lined up like little soldiers. There's something about the sea that always puts a spring in my step, even in my dancing shoes.

I spent the afternoon wandering around the shops, soaking in the summer atmosphere. I even spotted a cute little bunny rabbit hopping around in the park, wearing a tiny little pink collar, totally giving me inspiration for a future Tutu Look! I do love animals - they just have such natural grace.

After my shopping spree, I treated myself to an afternoon tea at this delightful café overlooking the pier. Scones, clotted cream, and endless cups of tea - bliss! Honestly, nothing quite beats an English afternoon tea. Except, perhaps, a ballet show?

Speaking of which, I saw a most divine ballet performance this evening at the Brighton Theatre Royal. A delightful rendition of "Giselle," and the choreography was simply breathtaking! I loved the hauntingly beautiful movements, especially Giselle’s delicate steps. The costumes were fantastic too, full of lace and delicate colours, almost ethereal, like a dream!

As the last notes faded into the night, I felt inspired and energised. Oh, how I love ballet! I can't help but smile thinking about all the lovely, beautiful dancers who dedicate their lives to this art. It's a truly inspiring thing.

I know, I know, some people think ballet is "all frills and no thrills" - they haven't seen real ballet! It’s pure, unadulterated artistry. And you know what? It’s the kind of art I’m happy to be wearing - in a fabulous black tutu, of course.

If you ever get the chance to see a ballet performance, I implore you to go. Let yourself be swept away by the beauty, the passion, the raw talent. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll discover a new passion for yourself!

But before I leave you all to your dreams, let’s talk pink tutus! Now, wouldn't it be a wonderful world if we all donned pink tutus and strutted our stuff around? It'd be a world full of positivity, grace, and fun! I truly believe it’d bring a touch of joy to the world. Who's with me?

See you all tomorrow for another post filled with more pink tutus, dancing, and beautiful discoveries.

Lots of love,

Emma
