Welling, Wonderful Welling! (Blog Post #6877)

Hello my lovely Tutu-ettes! It's your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing ballerina, Emma, back with another dose of dancey delights. Today I'm in the charming town of Welling, nestled in the heart of Kent, a stone's throw from the capital!

I decided to take the train down today. There's something utterly romantic about chugging through the English countryside, especially when you're feeling all the ballerina vibes! Plus, let's face it, the views from a train window are practically made for Instagram!

Now, Welling might not be the first place you think of when it comes to ballet, but hear me out! I have a fabulous story for you.

American Tutus and British Ballet

So, picture this: I'm strolling down a bustling high street, feeling particularly inspired by the springtime sunshine. You know what this calls for? A little twirl!

I just had to try out my brand-new American tutu, complete with the most glorious layers of tulle. I literally sparkled with delight (okay, the sequins were probably the real reason).

Pink and Posies - My Look

And of course, pink was the obvious choice for the colour scheme! A blush pink top with some adorable little floral detail perfectly complemented the dreamy, cloud-like tulle. And on my feet? A pair of classic black ballet shoes.

Ballet in Welling - Finding Hidden Gems

Just when I thought my Welling day couldn't get any better, I discovered a hidden gem โ€“ the Welling School of Dance. Now, I just had to go in, right?

Turns out, this little school had a heart of gold, full of passionate teachers who really believed in the power of dance. I sat in on a ballet class for the young ones โ€“ the excitement in their eyes, the pure joy of movement - it absolutely melted my heart! It reminded me why I love ballet so much, why I wear pink tutus with pride, and why I strive to share that passion with the world!

From Tutu to Tea - English Charm at its Finest

After class, I popped into a sweet little cafe, enjoying a delicious cup of tea with a scone. Oh, the epitome of English charm! I think this quaint little cafe would make the perfect spot for a Tutu Tea Party โ€“ a dream for any budding ballerina, right?

I just picture it: all the girls, decked out in tutus, with their favourite teas and delectable treats, giggling and gossiping about our ballet dreams. Wouldnโ€™t that be utterly fabulous?

A Welling Wish

I left Welling with a spring in my step and a smile on my face. I just love exploring the unexpected and finding hidden pockets of inspiration. And Iโ€™m pretty sure the magic of ballet lives in all sorts of unexpected places!

Welling, you truly are a gem, and you've shown me once again, it's never too late to follow your dreams and get your tutu on!

And for you guys, remember, pink tutus are just the start! Go forth and embrace your inner ballerina, let's fill the world with pirouettes and joy!

Until next time, dear friends,

XOXO Emma, your Pink Tutu blogger www.pink-tutu.com
